velmurugan was exceptional as a waiter. he sets the bar to what a waiter should be like. be it any restaurant and the food was great too. velmurugan is kurunji’s best kept secret!

have taken parcels from them recently. their breakfast items dosa, idli and vada were very good. also tried their mutton biryani and prawn curry recently, both were amazing, portions are quite good. will surely try other items on their menu soon.

taste like homemade foods.

referred through a friend for lunch. ordered for non veg biryani and thali. must say, delicious food tastes like home made and very reasonable. will visit soon again 😊

'delicious and affordable food!'

we visited kurinji restaurant in nakheel, ras al khaimah for dinner on a weekday. it serves south indian veg and nonveg food. there is a family room in addition to the general seating. 

here is a review of what we tasted:

1. chicken (kozhi) dosa: this was a spicy non-veg version of the regular mysore sada dosa. a real treat! it is served with sambhar and chutney.

2. mutton kuthu: this was the first time that i tasted this dish - a very filling and tasty dish! the paratha pieces were mixed into the spicy mutton gravy and served with sambhar and chutney.

3. egg with chicken: this was an amazing dish - my first try too! the egg was subtly folded with the chicken mixture inside.

note: their servings are large and filling. very reasonable prices too.

the staff is polite and friendly., but the table needs to be cleaned as soon as it gets vacated! the ambience is not that great but the food is delicious.. free parking is available beside and behind the restaurant.

all dishes are fairy tasty but special item to be mentioned is their breakfast set.
so many items and 10aed is worth a visit.
the red onion tomato chutney is our personal fav every time we go.

the best tamil nadu (south indian) food . literally you will feel like its tamil nadu . tasty food . friendly staffs . good hygiene . cheap and the best food . feels the essence of tamil nadu . over all its a restautant to goto . highly recommended .

if you like south indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must. they serve excellent dishes from the chettinad region of tamilnadu state in south india. all the dishes are prepared with freshly made ground masala. we ordered aatukal (goat leg) soup as a starter and chettinadu mutton masala and prawn masala as a main course. our breads were parottas. there was payasam for dessert on the house. the nannari sarbath was refreshing. the food is spicy with amazing flavors. we loved the taste. we could not stop eating. and all the food was with enough quantity. the service is excellent and prompt. this is a family friendly place and the budget is super pocket friendly. if you want authentic and delicious south indian food, this place is for you!

very poor service!!!! we ordered just 6 paratas. after 15 minutes the waiter came and said there’s no normal parata. then we asked him to get any parata as we were so hungry. but then also they took another 10 minutes to serve us. by that time our hunger flew. we couldn’t eat all the paratas served. i haven’t experienced this kind of situation in any restaurant. the tables were not cleaned after the customers left. the waiter gave 2 cups for 4 people. no clean washing area.

all three items had a enriched flavour n taste

we went for lunch with a gang of 10 people .. the food quality is very bad , service is slow .. the staff is humble though .. even the menu is not exhaustive .. all the veg dishes ( gobi 65 , schewan fried rice , chapathi ) were below average .. even my friends ordered non veg dishes they were also not tasty ..

i strongly feel they should raise the bar of taste ..

fabulous and delicious south indian varieties, great ambiance for its price, a place not to miss. the services are pleasing, had a home like feeling and ate upto the nose👍🏼😋
