i will be sharing only an experience i had in this hotel. reader can use his best judgment to draw a conclusion.
i went to this hotel on 05/04/2019 with two friends. having asked about the current scheme floated in the hotel, the concerned captain informed us that 25% discount is being offered on liquor if the food bill is of at least rs.300/- per head. since the scheme appealed to us we ordered for liquor and asked for the complementary snacks which was served without any murmur. after having the dinner and all, a bill came as an utter shock to us as the said ‘complementary’ snacks were charged. having confronted the captain, he says that if ‘a customer avails a discount on liquor then the complementary snacks are chargeable’.
so the discount offered was of rs.315/- and snacks (peanuts and papad) were charged at rs.370/-. having again asked why this was not told earlier the concerned captain, with bold chest, says that nothing can be done since the ‘system does not allow’ a change in bill.
this was an utter dishonest practice under the guise of a ‘scheme’. quality of food becomes irrelevant when the hotels start indulging in such dishonest practices moreso when the hotels take customers for granted.
