great sushi!. this is our favorite sushi place. there was a time when i would go there so often that the sushi guys knew me, knew what i usually ordered and had it ready in a few minutes! this place is great! the teppan guys are one of the most entertaining chefs in any teppan place in town. the atmosphere is great, specially for date nights. the sushi is really good! it is not the best sushi i've tasted, but this is coming from a person who lived in the dfw area where there were plenty of great sushi places. this place is definitely one of the best restaurants to go to in el paso.

note: if you plan to go on a friday night, make reservations! this place does not seat very many people, so reservations is a must, specially on weekends at night.

loved the place. beautifully decorated, more upscale than a typical restaurant but not too fancy. they get some points deducted for having cracked dinnerware, but thats minor details. they have a table or grill seating option. i would recommend a private table if you don't really like/want to interact with anyone other than the person you're dining with because the chefs at the grill will keep you entertained throughout the whole meal- it's quite a show. i've been here twice and their house cucumber roll instantly reeled me back in. i was dreaming about that roll. for someone looking for a fresh option, definitely go with the house cucumber, its got such a light and fresh tangy flavor. also tried the playboy, blazing tuna. blazing tuna was better but very filling. their sashimi app was delicious and came with plenty of raw fish for the price. i would skip their calamari- it is delicious but you'll only be tasting the sauce they drizzle over it. service was excellent considering how busy they get. i would recommend reserving a table if you go friday or saturday night as they are slammed. will definitely be returning for special occasions. really nice place!

just gross! gross food and girls that have a bad attitude.

run away - avoid at all costs!!. run away.!!!! rates up there with the worse dining experience! what went wrong???

1) waited 15 minutes to be seated at a table, despite the fact the restaurant was only half full. sushi chefs standing around with nothing to do

15 minutes later, our order was taken. i ordered "sticky gyoza" as an appetizer, and edamame and 4 pieces of nigiri sushi as my entree, while my dinner companion ordered teriyaki chicken. it was not on ethe menu, but they assured him they could do it.

30 minutes later, my companion's entree and our appetizer arrived:
2) companion's entree had about 1/2 chicken breast of meat
3) gyoza??? what i got was raw potstickers swimming in melted cheese.

1-1/2 hours later i still had not received my entree!!! i mean, how hard is it to make nigiri sushi---it is just a mound of rices with a csice of fish on top!!! the excuse we got was the sushi chefs were "backed up". since they were standing around not doing much of anything for the first 3-45 minutes we were there, i do not see how that is possible!! after the 2nd -3rd meaningless explanation by the waitress, i chose to cancel the order. was i supposed to wait another hour???

after all this, bad service, failure to complete a dinner order and serving subpar quality food, you would think the establishement would have the decency to comp the meal!! not!!

this restaurant has been open long enough to get rid of the "care-less" attitude... i have lived in japan - we have a few good japanese restaurants in town....this is not one of them!!!

great atmosphere, true hibachi grill and very fresh sushi. friendly staff. true japanese restaurant. chef had great presentation and highly recommended.

no more!. ok, so i cannot eat here again after my experience. the food is not japanese. it is very skimpy for what you pay and is simply not authentic. i did not appreciate the service either. hostess thinks she is the mostess but so isn't!

not good restaurant. i dont like this place, its too expensive and the food is poor.

best sushi in town!. been here dozens of times over the years and have always had great service and great food. the fusion sushi is fresh and delicious. i will miss it when we move

liked it. service was good and the presentation was great. food was fantastic. nice setting, good for romantic dinner or fun with the family. dont dress like your going to a burger joint but also no need to wear a suit. a lil pricey but overall worth it.

terrible service and terrible tempura. ok so i have visited this restaurant 3 times since they opened. on 1 visit the hostess who was eating in a corner standing up said, "we can't seat you no more" "we are going to close" about 52 minutes prior to closing time for lunch! i was a bit offended especially since she was hacking away at her food and talking to me with food in her mouth. on another visit i ordered the tempura and it was foreign to any tempura i've had before anywhere and further it was awful and loaded with a horrible mexi-chipotle sauce. is this japanese or japmex food? the sushi was lacking compared to japanese kitchen. if you compare the amount of fish you actually get it is next to nothing compared to how much japanese kitchen gives you. i've given this place a fair shot with 3 "attempted" dines and do not see myself going back or telling others to go. it is a nice place but not so good!

this is the best sushi i've found in el paso. i used to be a former sushi chef if you question my credibility. i do not eat the special rolls or fancy fusion types. i stick with the traditional rolls and nigiri. if you want to eat fusion style rolls and waste a ton of money on things that taste like mayo and eel sauce go to a cheaper restaurant. you're wasting your money on good ingredients by getting something like that. if you want to enjoy simple ingredients with complex flavors get their traditional style sushi. a dab of wasabi and soy sauce. you wont need eel sauce or spicy mayo or a million other sauces to enjoy the good ingredients. service has always been great every visit i've went. i go generally once a week. i have no idea what to tell you on their hibachi as i have not partaken. has a good atmosphere and generally speaking the staff are attractive and extremely polite.

the service was a little lackluster. our waitress was very nice but not very attentive and it took about 30-35 minutes before we got any food. however, once we got our food, it was worth the wait. the food was simply amazing and had such good flavor. i will definitely be back and hopefully the waitress was new and just a little overwhelmed.

blind theft. went to dinner with another couple. asked for teppan. cook was either still drunk or hung over. never got my vegetables.waiter tacked on 20% for tip as a party of four. waiter service stunk. never,never returning.

we called in an order and when i arrived 30 minutes later to pick it up, the two clueless blondes argued with me that i called in the wrong location. they frantically searched a pile of orders they had set aside and there was my order, not even in the kitchen. they panicked and told me it would take ten minutes...20 minutes go by, 3 people with messed up orders, 1 lost reservation, and another with food in his date's drink later is when my order comes out. to top it off, they messed it up. i wasnt even offered a discount much less a glass of water while i waited. definitely wont come here. place is staffed with inexperienced waiters and 2 hostesses that think they are running a new york restaurant, yeah good luck. taking this one off my list.

bad service, bad food. this place has gone down hill. it used to be an upscale place to go for great food and service. we went for a special occasion to celebrate and have good memories of the evening unfortunately the memories for this special day will be terrible. our server knew we were celebrating, as we mentioned it to her, yet she ignored us for the greater part of our visit. we even mentioned to her that we thought she had forgotten we were there -no apology from her, she just made a joke out of it. we were not sitting at the grill so maybe that's why we were treated like we didn't matter. our food was also bad, fried rice was dry with little flavor, tofu was bland - i cook it better myself- salmon also flavorless. we dressed nicely to visit as the previous times we had been here (a year or so ago) it was a more upscale place - if you choose to go, wear your sweat pants...that seems to be the proper attire. i won't be surprised when this place ends up like the japanese kitchen ....closed.
