kokyo sushi buffet

the most disgusting buffet i've ever been to.. this was by far the worst sushi i've ever had in my life, and that's including those day old atrocities from the grocery store. at first i tried to power through it thinking that maybe it was just that piece that was horrific, but each roll ended up being worse than the last. it was so disgusting i seriously couldn't even bring myself to eat all that i had put on my plate. trying to move past it and get at least something for the money we paid, we grabbed some of the other non-sushi items. the crab legs were a color we'd never seen on crab legs before. they were at least two shades darker than they should have been and tasted at least two days old. some of the crab legs didn't even have any meat in them when you cracked them open. the general quality of all of the food was extremely low and not something i'd consider edible. seriously, even the white rice tasted off. we had to leave though we hardly ate anything because every starving soul at my table had magically lost their appetite. i'm actually quite proud that none of us puked before leaving.

ug... not good. low grade mass produced sushi. not very authentic (seems to be chinese food disguised as japanese food). cheep is its only positive feature

went on a thursday night. the sushi buffet is first rate. salmon, octopus, tuna, sea bass, and more. lots of great rolls. had crab legs and fresh fruit to fill me up. a+++

a second visit to kokyo has yielded some information about their lunch buffet. my previous post was regarding the dinner buffet only and the lunch is slightly different. much of the same food is present for the lunch buffet and in generally the same format. notably, there is no sashimi at the lunch, as there is with dinner. there is sushi (fish on rice), and sushi rolls, but not just the fish by itself (sashimi). also, there are no crab legs at either the hot seafood bar or the salad bar, which there w
