stayed at hotel britomart for 3 nights....beautiful hotel and great service. went to kingi for breakfast first morning - very tasty food...but slack service - which was disappointing. we wondered why kingi was near empty, when everywhere else had full houses? went in for brunch today as we were heading off for home to try our luck again- totally ignored, had to find our own table, sat for what seems like eternity waiting for some attention and finally had to hop up and go and find a waiter...who said that they were in change over (11.30am) and wouldn't be cooking anything for another 30 minutes - so we left and took our business elsewhere along with another elderly couple experiencing the same terrible, sullen, arrogant service. such a shame, as kingi is truly a beautiful spot with a great chef. could we suggest the owners/management start a fresh with new staff before its too late (perhaps take the new crew along the road to amarno to see how a well oiled machine works - staff that make you feel special and care for your every need.....little wonder its hard to get a table there!).
