literally if you haven’t eaten here you’ve legit not tried the best pizza in all of nj. probably one of the oldest places serving thin crust pizza with the best sauce in town. my personal favorite is a plain cheese pizza but with fra diavolo sauce which gives it a good kick. must must must try!

pro tip - make sure you have cash - they only accept cash and no credit cards!

ok/basic italian food, with the best pizza around particularly because of the paper-thin crust. you go here for the pizza, not the service or atmosphere. and it's cash only...but there is an atm in the front if you forget.

ordered pizza to go at 6:45 still not ready at 7:35. i could have been seated at 7pm and i know i would have had my food before 7:30. i wont be wasting my time or money driving here any more.

a small and cozy tavern, of food and love. the best bits of this place come frm the large pizza pies they serve, which are absolutely amazing.. and the lively cheerful servers. had been here amidst a day of house hunting and had a jam of a time!!

stick to the beer and pizza, because the pasta is horrendous...can't even describe how bad. this place is exactly as its name says a tavern!

great pizza...expect a crowd. every time we travel back to the ny/nj area, we try to have dinner here. excellent pizza no matter what you order. it is always crowded which i guess is part of it's lure. if you are in the area, make an effort to stop for a pie. you won't be disappointed.

great pizza. great thin crust pizza with a unique pastry crust. this is a local landmark and friends come from far and wide just for "pizza"

love the pizza. been going here since i was a kid. have had pizza's all over the world. i might be partial, but as far as thin crust this is undoubtedly one of the best ones made. if you think you can find other think crust pies like it, you left your taste buds at home.

i just don't get the overwhelming appeal of this place. it's tiny, overcrowded, and the food is barely average. i understand it's "bar food" but there is nothing there that i look forward to eating. the pizza is ok but lacks flavor and the sauce they use seems overly processed and commercial (i usually end up burping it up for days). i know every place like this uses commercial sauce but the one they use must be low grade. i am speaking from experience too. i live close enough that i could hit it if i threw a rock and have had just about everything on the menu. i want to like the place, so much so that i go there every once in a while to give it another shot, but it never wins me over. quite the opposite. i usually end up pissed i went back. someone else mentioned the bar. bar?!? it's the size of a big closet and filled with regulars. did anyone mention they only take cash, no debt or credit cards? keep that in mind if you go. good luck!

good nj bar pie. it's fine if you want a bar pie. order it plain. the toppings make it too soggy! ruins the whole enjoyment of this pie imho. there are plenty of good places for this same type of pie. for me, it would be strictly the closest one. the lido in hackensack has the same pie. others as well.

this place does not take credit cards.

great casual bar and restaurant, this place was mobbed on a saturday afternoon. we had two pies (1 sausage & 1 meatball). it's thin crust and cooked super fast. we also had the red birch beer and that was great. i recommend this place

just moved to the area and everyone and their mother was talking about this place. service and atmosphere was good. the pizza is thin crust and it was good, but i didn't think it lived up to all the hype. pies cost the same as regular neopolitan pies except the feed half as many people, so be prepared so spend more. my wife and i finished a whole pie, which would me impossible at a regular pizza place. i think patsey's better.
