kim long vietnamese restaurant

not so great. i love chinese and vietnamese food and eat it often. i used to go to kim long when it was excellent and loved their food but noticed a decline in the quality and taste recently. decided to try them again today. we had sweet and sour port, orange beef, and a lemon grass pork and egg roll vermicelli dish. realizing we all have different tastes and opinions, here is mine. the sweet and sour pork was more batter than pork and absolutely tasteless with runny sweet and sour sauce. i did not taste the orange beef but my friend said it was good and she enjoyed it. the steamed white rice was overcooked. the lemon grass pork on the vermicelli dish was dry, tasteless, and like cardboard. as i said, this restaurant used to be wonderful, but something has happened in their kitchen that has totally changed my opinion and i won't be going back. there are so many other really good chinese and vietnamese restaurants in the area to eat at.

amazing!!. i come here at least once a week and order the #26 seafood pho and the #22 beef pho for my boyfriend, the broth has great flavor and the meat is so tender in the beef soup. the flavor is unbeatable and the price is great. the small bowl provides a huge amount of soup. the large is enough to share. this is the best place for pho! the general tso is good here also (apologies, i may have spelled that wrong). as for the employees, they are all the nicest people, so polite and always smiling. the restaurant itself is pretty and clean. it's a great place to be. we're addicted to kim long, i'm just glad it's so close to me!

couple of my favorites are the curry chicken (it's not on the menu but you can ask for it), the hot and sour soup is one of my absolute favorite soup at an asian place, and the lemonade is really good.

check your take out. i had just read all these awesome reviews and was so excited to bring home some beef noodle soup with eye round steak. i get home, the broth is by itself and in a to go box you add all of your fixings. i start eating and realize something is missing.. the steak. so disappointed. i probably won't return unless i'm in the area. but the waitress was super sweet, the restaurant itself was empty but nice, good atmostphere, just no steak. ughhh

this place is awesome!. the food is delicious and the staff is so friendly. i've eaten here countless times and i've always had such a great experience!

the waiters and waitresses are very nice! the food always tastes very fresh. i highly recommend the pho!

i have been twice so far and really like it. you get a lot of food for your money. the vermicelli (rice noodles) with chargrilled chicken is delicious!

one of the best pho.... a good pho restaurant for out side of belare, and in nw houston (spring) it's one of the better pho restaurants around. my self, and three of my friends (all vietnamese chefs) like this place! the #15 is our favorite bowl of pho ... or try the #38 bun bo nuong cha gio it's fantastic!!! and don't forget to top it off with the ice french coffee ... that would be a sin to leave it out !

it isn't the best vietnamese food i've had.... but the pho is excellent and the egg rolls are fresh.... not from the buffet. and might i add it's really close i don't have to go to belaire or veterans memorial. i give it a 7 of 10 because of the service and the pho

mediocre vietnamese food. was more like mediocre chinese. egg rolls didn't seem fresh, tasted like they were from a buffet and so did the pepper steak. charbroiled pork was ok but was the worst out of all the vietnamese restaurants i have been to.
