kalesa, offers a sunday brunch from 8-11am that features a wide range of authentic filipino foods and deserts. their selection is enormous and you can definitely be overwhelmed your first time around.

kalesa now a favorite. we were invited to my auntie c's 90th birthday last friday feb 26. 2010. we were really amazed the the quality of the food at kalesa! being a health conscious filipina and mother of 4, i was really impressed by the healthy and colorful entree that kalesa had to offer.

it was not at all your typical greasy pinoy food, but healthy and cooked to perfection! the kalabasa was soft and sitaw were crunchy at the same time!

the paella was very colorful and the shrimp was fabulous! the sisig, my son's favorite was bursting with flavor! it was meaty and not fatty!!!

the calamares was excellent! the buko pandan was delicious! the fruit tray was very colorful with fresh with pineapples and blueberries!

the service was perfect!!! manilyn caught my attention! she was very personable to all her customers! she was very pleasant and had a smiling face as she busily served everyone! it was also because of her that we came back for late lunch/merienda yesterday! thank you manilyn! you are an added asset to kalesa!

overall good. i think kalesa is a good place to dine, but lately i noticed something's going on. the place is deteriorating. the tables for instance, they're showing their age. at least cover them with white cloth (and to save money, put white paper on top of the cloth so they don't need washing often). see banana leaf in mcarthy ranch. they have old tables too, but they are presented elegantly.

the carpets are peeling off. these little things add up and messes up the whole image. fix them please. i take my friends here for a good filipino dining experience and sadly for me these things can ruin it.

concern lang po...
