if you are visiting souq waqif than this is the place to sit and enjoy all.typea of kababs. prices are very low and service is good too. a hidden gem in souq waqif

- when i had moved to qatar & visited souq waqif, i found out the grilled skewers concept in another rival called shu***, i thought that time i will never find better, untill i visited this place.
- here the taste is much better, plus they have wider selections, those other than kabab, kofta & chicken they have livers & hearts skewers.
- they provide indoor seating area, but my advise to keep it your last choice, outdoor dining is much exciting, service is fair enough & prices are pocket friendly of course.

- my rating = 3.5/5
=food (2.5/3) + values (1/1) + ambiance & hospitality (0.5/1)

- recommendations:
1. they sell per skewer or per dish, i ordered mix grilled dish & i feel i've been deceived.

to frills and fancies, but if you want to have some juicy seekh kababs, this is the place for you. kababs are served with hot bread. this place gives you a feeling of a different era all together. somewhere inside the souq, we found bit difficult to figure out the place. the place is pocket friendly.

wandering through the souq found this place and though of giving it a try for lunch. dining is kind of in the middle of the souq and seating is pretty old style of the chairs and tables. ordered some meat kabab and mix grill. the kebabs were tasting nice but were served pretty much lukewarm and the bread was served cold too. would be good too served the food hot but he seen this of getting served breads cold in most iranian places. the hummus came directly out of the chiller. the aragula salad was decent. service was ok but some more attentiveness needed, also while billing as was charged extra.

a must visit and super cheap kabab place in souq wakif, doha. price/performance ise just perfect! a hidden gastronomic gem. you should try all skewers. my favorite is meatbal and chicken skewers.

soo good and very nice but the waiter doesn't put it in a box when we take it away he squshes it neither.

this is the best place in souq waqif for grilled meat, tawouk and kabab. their outdoor seating is amazing (traditional), in the middle of the souq and in an historical old area.

the great thing here is that you can order per skewer so u can mix ur food as you like.

lamb, kabab, tawouk, jarjir all are great.

taste is perfect, service is very good.

u should definitely try this place when u are in doha!

mu favorite lamb kofta in doha, no comparison. just go for that and combine it with fresh oven baked bread, jerjir (rocket) and ayran. the location is in between the small alleys and it’s not very crowded.

this place has the iranian kebab restaurant style, similar to lamazani and shogaa. we tried kofta , kebab. and shish tawook. the kofta and shish tawook were very good. the kebab was ok.
the bread was good but not fresh
the hommos was surprisingly very good and it add to the experience.
overall good restaurant with cheap prices.

kebab al tayeb is no fancy place but definitely a must visit place if you wanna ever say that you actually felt the spirit of souq waqif , the kebabs are juicy but the greatest thing here is their fresh bread that is made in front of you in the old style stone oven, its worth the waiting since there is always someone waiting for an empty table.
a great place to visit with kids,friends and family.

juicy kebabs in reasonable prices. the seating arrangement isnt that great but you’ll have the amazing flavors of the spices in kebabs. a must try!

a must visit place in souq waqif, not at all a fancy place but it goes with the theme of souq waqif and takes you back in time.could be crowdly at times, but definitely worth waiting and yeah last but not the least, they are pro in kababs...loved it..

great, succulent, tender, melt-in-your-mouth juicy grills. best ever! my family and i had the large mixed grill with humus and rocket salad. freshly made hot tandoori bread accompanies the meal. cosy and casual ambience. fantastic food and value for money. must try. the flavour lingers on well after we left. hope to return in the future.

very nice tasty kebabs and meat. very clean and well priced. gem of a place to visit. they serve the meat taken off the skewer and they serve fresh arabic bread made in front of you. indoor and outdoor seating capacity.
