thanks to my tax return, i finally invested in a bedjet, so it looks like a creature from star wars is “hiding” under my bed covers…at least i no longer have to worry about participating in a/c wars with my roommate! i absolutely love this little machine, and the its ability to keep my skin cool throughout the night. why didn’t i get this sooner when i was going through ed recovery night sweats?!

the one thing i really like about gourmet food trucks is that these chef/owners push the boundaries. there are trucks out there serving everything from sliders to tacos to cupcakes. then you have trucks that sell jewish eggrolls, korean sausages and double-dipped corn dogs named after viking gods! (i luv my viking truck) but once in awhile, a truck comes along that makes your do a double take. sushi burrito? oh yes!

your sushi is to die for. one bite and i was hooked. my husband and i bought one to share but we had to go back and get another an asked for "extra spicy". it was out of this world. the best dinner i have had all year! light, tasty, deliscious. just the right amount of ingredients. what a novel idea! can you bring a truck to las vegas soon?

ladies and gentlemen, rumors of the fabled sushi burrito have spread far and wide in the greater la area. i can assure you it's real. i have proof. i finally caught the elusive jogasaki truck when they stopped at the adm eat fleet. i guess i was super excited because i was the first person in line. didn't take long for them to open up though, about 5 mins or so. i survived. i opted for the lobster burrito wrapped in soy paper which was an additional charge but no biggie. in the end i ended up paying around $10 for lunch. it was an average price for sushi. the taste was all in all very fresh from the soy wrapper to the sticky warm rice and of course the lobster. really what set it apart from the sushi you'd find elsewhere is how portable it was. it's eaten like a burrito so it's unique in that respect. i'd try the other offerings that jogasaki has to offer the next time they come to the south bay. the service was quick and friendly and the sushi had a good taste. just be sure to bring y

ktown chowdown week2. there were jogasaki and rebel bite trucks. other trucks had some issues, so couldn't make it. well, there were only two trucks but it's good for me (bad for them), because i could get to know them, plus no waiting line. since this ktown food truck thing just started, not many people knows about it, but they'd like to have more trucks and some shops so if you are interested, contact to @ ktownchowdown on twitter or facebook, or just let me know (only if you don't have either account). click here for pic from more ktown chowdown food trucks jogasaki sushi burrito truck. yup, sushi burrito. don't you love that idea? if you are not sure what to order, get jogasaki #1 or #2 ($8). that's the most popular item on the menu. or you can order #1 and ask to add one tempura for extra $1 or so. they'll probably do it. jogasaki #2 $8 crab meat, spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber & shrimp tempura, wrapped in soy paper. spicy tuna tempura $5 deep fried spicy tuna roll, sweet eel sauce
