jimmy’s big burgers lives up to its name for sure! my husband gets the jalapeño cheese burger all the way with tater tots and i can’t seem to get away from the spicy chicken sandwich with their regular fries (i’ve had their cheese burger before and it’s just as good!), and i recently tried their newest dessert, gulab jamun...so good!!!!! the owners are so sweet, friendly, and always receives us with big smiles. i highly recommend trying them out. you won’t be disappointed and you’ll leave with a full tummy!

awesome food - awesome staff - very clean restaurant. prices are very reasonable and you won't leave hungry.  the bleu-cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburgers are our favorites.  don't pass on the onion rings, either!

wide variety of toppings and a fresh hand-made patty are a plus. decent fries, but could have stood a light hit of salt when they came out of the fryer. we had the bleu cheeseburger, good bleu cheese, bacon, grilled onions and then standard toppings - average overall. the hawaiian, which had a good slice of ham and fresh pineapple - also average. the chili burger was above average. nice touch that it was surrounded by foil, so the chili didn't run all over the fries (not that it would be a bad thing, but it's nice to be given the choice). meaty chili and diced grilled onions made it stand out. also, the veggie burger was better than many veggie burgers. it seemed fresh, and had vegetable chunks, not just a thawed patty of pureed vegetables. overall, a solid c. i wouldn't avoid it, but also wouldn't make a special trip.

mediocre at best. the fries i got were cold and nasty and the bottom bun was flat and solid. not toasted... it was solid. the burger meat was good, but it didn't offset the negatives. wouldn't go back in a hurry.

what-a-mess. don't get me wrong. the burger i had here, the hickory cheeseburger was all right. it was just a mess to eat. jimmy's big burger (jbb) opened here a couple of months ago and i've just now have gotten around to eating one. they have over 20 different versions of burgers in their repertoire and i wanted one that wasn't going to be all-over-my-face messy. with only grilled onions, provolone cheese and hickory sauce, i figured the hickory cheeseburger would fit the bill. it arrived in all its splendor (see picture). nevertheless, once i had lifted it, the bun began to slide away from the toppings and it wasn't long that everything started to literally head south on my plate. this soon became a knife and fork lunch folly which seems to be getting more and more commonplace with all of these burger joints competing with each other, to find out who can build the largest burger with the most unwieldy additions. once i managed to deposit the burger piece by piece into my mouth, i'd have to say the combination of flavors was very good. the burger was cooked medium and the fries were the brown-looking variety usually brought on by cooking in old oil. it didn't stop me from eating them though!

jbb had a small number of diners there when i arrived about 12:30 and steadily increased that number to full capacity when i left, just after 1:00 p.m.. pretty amazing if you ask me. i felt sorry for the workers there though. it looked like they were understaffed. i had good service. i had a couple of refills on my drink and was asked about my meal at one point. only when it got time to pay was there no action. i ended up going to the counter on my own to get the check. there was a stack of about 15 of them. it had gotten so busy that they had no time to bring the checks with taking orders and serving the food. at least the food was coming out hot to the diners. bottom line: i thought the food and service was good. burger was very messy which may be a plus for many of you. since it is close to home i will probably return, but with all of burger joints in the lake worth area, i can't see myself here more than a couple of times per year.
