i popped into janken for a quick bite to eat on my own and was warmly greeted by the friendly counter staff and smiles from the kitchen too. i ordered the slow cooked chicken thigh that came in a delicious chicken broth with vegetables, rice with green tea on the side. it was so good i wolfed it down with great pleasure and complimented the chefs directly. as i was in a rush i couldn't stay for the interesting and healthy desserts, i guess a good reason to go back soon!

i had a great lunch in janken restaurant located in herne bay.
all food are so healthy and very tasty.

i can say they serve the best soup. very different from the other miso soup i have ever had in japanese restaurant in auckland. janken is the best!
they said the ingredients are gluten free and organic.

they also have sushi, donburi, teriyaki-salmon etc... and a few choices of side-dish from cabinet. all look nice.

i highly recommend this restaurant to visit.
you never regret.
i definitely go back there again. wanna try thier dinner.

also, if you have a hangover try their lunch.
