hunan restaurant

had an order of the bean curd hunan style (~$8): fried bean curd and black bean cooked hunan style, i.e. with green bell pepper and bamboo shoots (served with rice, savory hot & sour soup, and egg roll when order as a lunch special). food was delicious, staff was accommodative (with the dish order spicy & without msg), and the ambiance was banquet-friendly.

had passed by this restaurant plenty of times and finally decided to give it a try last week with my husband. a  clean place with minimal decor and good food.

we started with the spring rolls which were piping hot, crispy and the filling was quite delicious. also loved the sweet dip served along with the dish, it was the perfect complement to the rolls.
for the mains, we tried their vegetable chow mein which was amazing. the noodles were cooked to perfection and were flavorful. i am definitely going back for these.
we also ordered for the vegetable fried rice and it turned out to be perfect. 

while the broccoli with spiced garlic sauce was not up to the mark. it was marked to be a spicy dish which is one of the reasons why i called for it but it happened to have the sweetest possible gravy. i had to call for some hot sauce to add some spice.

the service was a little sloppy, our attendant dropped some gravy while placing the dishes on the table and he didn't even realize it. 
but the portion sizes are huge and the food is value for money!

this resturant is clean. good price and the taste very very good. top 3 chinese restirants in concord.
