huey's southhaven

this rating has nothing to do with the food.  i visited today and had a delicious bacon cheese burger and tender sweet potato fries.  unfortunately, there was a couple sitting at the bar, as was i, watching a movie on their cell phone with the volume as high as they could get it.  how unfortunate they had such little regard for the other folks there for a peaceful meal, but even more disappointing was the fact the staff and management allowed such rude behavior.

beware of the 18% grat!. we love this place. ashley is our favorite bartender! she always remembers us. she takes extra time every time. the food is always great. they season the philly cheese steak with fresh cracked pepper. turkey sandwich is always piled high. steak is wonderful. it is so tender.
recently the place has required an 18% gratuity added to all checks every weekend past 10pm. absolutely ridiculous! the last time we went on a weekend, i tipped. i got home and realized that the employee had already added the 18% so she ended up with a 22$ tip! i tip well but that's way to much for only 2 people that got some sandwiches! i avoid this place on the weekends now.

fantastic food ruined by smoking. who the hell has a smoking allowed restaurant now anyway?

the "bar" area that is smoking friendly is 70% of the restaurant which means that the small "smoke free" area is nothing but smoke as well.

i love huey's. i've never had a bad meal at any huey's i've been to. the burgers are great, so are the homemade onion rings. this was all ruined by the smoke.

i will not be back to the huey's in southaven.

living the thug life.... i have eaten at this location many times. the food is always really good. it was good again on my most recent visit, but wow, were the employees and patrons are rough.

in a booth near me sat a drunk/loud/obnoxious guy. he and his date sat and drank and he got louder and louder. i don't mind colorful language, but this guy was cursing like a teamster. he would occasionally pace around. yet, nobody from huey's told him to sit down and shut up.

the wait staff wasn't what i would call friendly and it seemed that some off the clock employees were drinking at the bar (although i may be wrong on this, it is what i perceived). not impressed with the service. usually it is much better.

friendly service, very friendly patrons. good, reasonably priced food. we went on a wednesday night and the had 2 for 1 draft beers.

i have been there several times and each time is great. burgers are good. i was disappointed with the philly. but all in all a good place and fun environment.

awful place! sign says seat yourself! 4 servers passed by and never said a word! sat there for 10 minutes and never was waited on. will not be back!

this place used to be great. had a terrible lunch today, seems to be a serious lack of training with the food runners. unless you like your salad being delivered with the guys thumb in your bowl and in your food. not to mention the waitress bringing your drinks pressed up against her body because she doesn't use a tray. so from the service to the slimy brown lettuce, it pretty much sucked today!

terrible service burgers just ok. my wife and i decided to go here and grab a burger one day. we walked in and there was hardly any one in the place. maybe 2 guys at the bar and a family that just finished and left. it was early around 4:30 on a thursday afternoon.
we sat down and must have waited 10 minutes before we even saw any of the wait staff but no one came to our table. another 5 minutes goes by and 3 girls come out of the kitchen and start flirting with the guys at the bar. i told my wife that one of them is bound to come our way, but no, all 3 went back to the kitchen. a few minutes later another waitress came from the kitchen area and actually looked me straight in the eyes and on to the guy at the bar. i told my wife 5 more minutes and we're gone. so the 5 minutes came, we got up and left. i will never in my life set my foot in the place again and i really don't agree on them having the best burger. i mean really, i counted 6 waitresses and we were never asked if we wanted any drinks or anything.
if i have to flag someone down for a drink order, i don't think they need my business. it would have been different if they had been busy but the place was dead.

a recent review for different item. i have always loved huey's. they have a great burger and the chicken tenders with buffalo sauce are outstanding. i can always count on getting a good meal for my money or they will make it right. i consider them my reliable safe place to grab food anytime i want a good meal and friendly service. i am reviewing my second favorite order from them. i love spicy food and although it hurts me i always get the chicken tenders rolled in buffalo sauce. i also like the homemade soup or soup of the day. its always a great add if your extra hungry. i was this night!

i would give the chicken tender meal on this night a solid (b+) the young lady behind the bar was great for an (a) and the cleanliness/atmosphere was very loud because it was karaoke night (b). this earns them a solid (b+) once again for an overall in my book. its a fun place for everyone and my kids always love to come here.

great food. i love to go here on bike night. they have a great burger and the chicken tenders with buffalo sauce are outstanding. they have a fun atmosphere with music playing and an open bar. if you can shoot a tooth pick into the ceiling while you are there.....lol

to sum it up i would give them a (b+) in food. the service was great for a (b+) and the cleanliness was about a (b+). this earns them a solid (b+) overall in my book. the food and choices were really good for the price! its a fun place for everyone.
