we visited hudson's for the first time yesterday, loved the vibe and rustic feel of the place,

we all had different burgers and they were amazing!!! the truffle fries are also a must and something i have never tasted before. they also have a wide selection og good cocktails and beers.

we ordered three different shakes for dessert (salted caramel, toasted marshmallow and amarula, and lemon cheescake something) a bit disappointing because they all tasted and kind of looked the same!

anyways, would go again anytime and try a new burger!

delicious sliders and solid beer selection. the margaritas were decent but nothing to brag about. the outdoor seating, great staff and dynamite burgers are worth the trip.

fantastic! this burger joint is new in pretoria, and they create the tastiest burgers in town! with 180g or 250g patties to choose from, big portions of french fries (additional cost though) and amazing milkshakes. very nice vibe with great music.

great vibe, great drinks.... no signage up yet and the place is extremely busy, so then you know the word of mouth is great. also, half-price cocktails, drafts and starters from 16:30-18:30. defs worth an after-work turn.

i have been to hudsons in parkhurst before and i was waiting in anticipation for the pretoria branch to open, so when it did, we couldn't wait to get there.

hudsons had been open for just over a month when we had decided to go, and we were so excited as we had really enjoyed our experience at the parkhurst one (besides the meat being gristly.)

we were the only people at the restaurant when we arrived and the waitresses were immediately by us showing us to a table. i would say we received good service.

we ordered the fried mac and cheese croquettes for starters. i am a huge fan of mac and cheese, specially in ball form and fried. when they arrived they looked really appetising and i couldn't wait to tuck in. i was so disappointed though. the mac and cheese had no flavour and no seasoning. the croquettes came with an accompaniment of aioli, which was very tasty and i had to dunk it in there (a lot) just to add some flavour to it.

for mains i ordered the tribeca trio of sliders and my partner had the wiseguy burger. i ordered the sweet potato fries as a side and my partner had the disco fries.

the sliders looked amazing when they arrived, actually all the food did, eventually when it did arrive, as it took very long. the waitress did apologise and explain that they are still getting the hang of things in the kitchen, which is understandable.

my sliders were ok. the thing that i don't like about hudsons burgers is their pattys. they have no flavour and have a lot of gristle in them. it really isn't nice. the toppings were good though. i ate one slider and took the rest for takeaway. my sweet potato fries were cold and very dry. my partners disco fries were a lot better.

i would like to go back to hudsons despite my disappointment. i would like to try the other things on the menu, and who knows, they might change my mind. i just don't get all the hype about it right now as there are far better burgers being made in pretoria.

this restaurant is the new kid at the club. it opened last week and the signage isn't even up yet.

the restaurant itself is trendy, modern and beautifully laid out.

the staff are pleasant and service is relatively good.

let's get to the food.....we had 'the cheese' beef burger with the 'liberty slaw' and 'the stomper' vegetarian falafel burger with the 'disco fries'.

the burgers were nice....though something was missing for me...the patties needed more salt, seasoning and the buns were a little dry. the slaw was rich and tasty with an unexpected pop of feta and olives in the mix. the skinny disco fries with mozzarella, spring onions and mayonnaise were also tasty but could have been served at a higher temperature.

the highlight of the evening was the most incredible lindt chocolate brownie milkshake...decadent, divine and possibly the best milkshake we have ever had!!!

after hearing rave reviews of hudsons in parkhurst, i was not blown away with the burgers. overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and a must try for the burger and milkshake lovers in pretoria.

thank you very much zomato for guiding us to this new venue. 👍🏻👍🏻

realy well worth the visit. they are actually burger specialists but their menu has some really interesting stuff 😄..... even for vegetarians 😄😄

super friendly service 😄😄 and they were really accomodating. preparing an egg- free belgian waffle without any issues.

will be back for sure. 😄😅

i love that all the cool restaurants are coming to the best part of town :)
hudson's slides menu was awesome, shared with a friend the pulled pork and the east village sliders, they were super good.

the service was great, we had a few hiccups with wrong orders coming to our table but the staff were great sorting things out.

overall... a w e s o m e

from being unaware that hudsons existed, it is, easily, now my new spot to eat out!
reasonably priced, with a vibe for a young crowd, i was insanely impressed by this little hideaway!

i tasted a boom-boom burger which was beyond delicious, and shared a bottle of wine with a friend.
i cannot wait to introduce this burger joint to my friends and have many more eat-outs here.

i wont say i'm a hudson's burger expert, but i have been enjoying their burgers since the first one in cape town. i have subsequently been to most of them in sa and the new one in pretoria ranks up there with its burger quality and trumps its fellow outlet in parkhurst. we had "the shroom" and "the bacon jam", both were grilled to perfection. all burgers can be ordered with you choice of side. will definitely be back

trendy, new burger joint in pretoria. great service, delicious burgers and creative cocktail choices. lemon meringue cocktails!? hudson's wen! the shoestring fries is a huge portion, enough to actually rather share with someone!
