excellent portion size, very affordable and our waitress was sweet as well as attentive. we'll definitely be returning.

it is nice to find a decent seafood place that serves fish at a decent price and all the options are not fried. this is not a gourmet place, but a nice casual dining locale with good seafood and friendly service.

services. food was good got good service and plenty attention to details..... need to keep in mind a need to serve food that is not cooked with shell fish ....some parties allergic to shell fish and cooking oils that are cooking all fried fish.

good seafood at a great price. hudson bay seafood is generally frequented by families and middle-aged to seniors group. the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is usually quite attentive. the atmosphere is more than what you would expect for the price. usually food in this price range is served on disposable plates with a plastic fork and a paper tablecloth. hudson bay is carpeted (if that matters to anyone), and the noise level is perfect. (i'm frustrated with restaurants in which the music is so loud that i have to yell at the people i'm eating with in order to be heard.) you can have nice conversation, expect a good, hot meal, have adequate refills on your drinks. the fried flounder is hard to beat anywhere in town---at any price. the hush puppies are addictive. excellent cole slaw. potato bar is provided, and you can load down your potato with sour cream, shredded cheese, sliced green onions, butter, etc. the iced tea is exactly what you would expect at any good restaurant in the south. portions are larger than you'd expect, and takeout boxes are provided. definitely my favorite seafood restaurant in town. and it's awfully hard to find better seafood even near the coast. definitely worth the visit.

overcooked fish. breading on my catfish order had a flour rather than flavorful meal crispness, was over cooked (tough texture).my friend claims their food was also overcooked. this has always been my favorite place to eat and will give it one more try. my friends and i have been eating there for years.

best meal best server best price all over best dinning out for my family in a long time. we plan to go back every weekend. quick service, hot food, best birthday, thank you hudson bay.

not good at all!. we took our family who was visiting and it was gross! first off the just have lemon juice not fresh lemons and only 1 free refill on your drink! they had a potato bar and the sour cream was disgusting ruined the whole potato. my nephews ribeye tasted rotten. the batter on the fried food had no flavor and very greasy! also the crab legs were not fresh i've had better ones sitting in water on a chinese buffett! will never be going back there again!

flounder. the best fried flounder i've eaten anywhere!

poor customer service. me and my family were visiting fayetteville and had a taste for seafood so we went to this restaurant. the prices were cheap and the menu seemed good. when the food came out, i was disappointed because i had ordered deviled crabs, trout, and a baked potato. i received deviled crabs, shrimp, and fries. the waitress then told me that they did not have any more baked potatoes and that she would be back with my fish. never was there an apology for this mistake, generally, there is an apology. i then asked was any other sides because i don't eat fries, and she informed me that the menu said that baked potatoes are served when available. i then asked why i was not informed that they were available and i did not get an answer. i have never been to a restaurant before where no one informs you that you are not getting what you ordered and never apologizes. i guess this is the type of service you get in fayetteville.

wonderful food. i returned to dine at hudson bay after 21 years, not because it wasn't good but because of being a military spouse. i have been back in fayetteville for 8 years now and found out that hudson bay was still open. i finally made it out today with my sister and our meal was wonderful, as was the speedy service and the remarkable prices for so much food. i have read reviews stating everything was fried but the menu offers fried, broiled and grilled. also food was fresh and cooked to perfection. wonderful experience and can't wait to take my husband there.

that's all, just fried. fried everything, and fried well, but nothing more.

it is pretty good!!!. went there to eat a while ago and i ordered then when i saw the food it was a nice size portion and it tasted pretty good and so for now on i am going to come back and eat again.

awful. the food and the manager were both awful. my friend debra loved it but i was just not pleased. i sat there and drank water. waitress forgot my french fries. the manager clearly was not interested in refunding any portion of the meal. thankfully it wasn't expensive. and it certainly tasted cheap. i could have found better seafood inside a dumpster. yuck!!! if the food don't kill you, the service will. definitely avoid.

grrreeeeeaaaatttt!!!!!!. i can't emphasize how great hudson bay is. the service is great as well as the friendly atmosphere and the food is second to none. it is traditional calabash style seafood and is better than most seafood i have had on the coast. something that i know from the time i used to work in the seafood industry is that seafood is not always in season but this place manages to always have some of the freshest and best tasting fish ever!!!! anyone who downs this place either knows nothing about seafood or is just plane ignorant.
