my friends and i decided to spend a friday night at the hub.
unfortunately our experience was anything but memorable. although the decor and ambience was great, the food was a complete letdown.
starting with the cream of mushroom soup, the mushrooms tasted old and had a very earthy taste to it. it also smelt very unappetizing.
the tomato soup tasted like boilt store-bought tomato puree with amul cream. the fries platter lacked salt, pepper or spices. the egg hakka noodles once again lacked salt and pepper. we had to pour the pepper that was inside the pepper shaker to season the food.
the penne arabiatta had a strange level of spice to it that completely overpowered the tangy taste of the tomato sauce. i'm not even going to get started on the spaghetti since all it had was a few chilli flakes here and there but tasted really bland. the corn and cheese pizza was another colossal mess. while the paneer tikka looked good and the marination was seasoned properly, the paneer was chewy. it is understandable if one or two dishes contains some mistakes but if everything we ordered is messed up, then something seriously needs to be done.
for the kind of prices we paid for these dishes, the food is definitely not worth it. overall, it is highly unlikely that we would revisit this place nor recommend this place to anyone. i hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes some changes.
