best ever!!!!. i have to say i go to hudat at least once a week for my favorites. the house special birds nest, an amazing one of a kind dish. yummy varieties of lomien and all types of super delicious pho! best crab rangoons and house spring rolls for appetizers too. all made fresh to your order and at great prices, with very friendly service. lunch is always busy because it is just that good so i order ahead and my food is always waiting for me! :d

hu dat? not me!! calallen tx. i kept hearing about the great hu dat noodle restaurant so i took my family to see all the hub bub.. at first the servers (with no personality) were helpful with suggesting soy free meals for my son. after waiting for my noodles 30 minutes the excuses came. 'there is a big to-go order slowing things down, it will be out soon. 25 minutes later it was ready. i ordered the noodles with chicken and shrimp (both shrimp) . mediocrity rules the kitchen here. have you ever boiled noodles?? it takes 4 minutes...four minutes!!! not 50. there is nothing special about this restaurant. ive been to asian restaurants in china town in philly, san fran cisco and all 48 states. this place would not last a week. so turn around, go get a few cup of noodles for yourself and sit back and smile when you realize, "i just saved me 7 dollars per person by switching to microwave noodles. btw 2 adults, 3 children and a toddler. $73.36 all that money for bad service and mediocre food. step away from the restaurant people... i give it 1 out of 5 stars. one more funny foot not. to a cuban, pho means the same as pee eew!

still good!. we have been going to the hu dat in the kohl's shopping center ever since it first opened and we love it. our favorite dishes include the shaken beef (bo-luc-lak), shaken tofu, the hu dat ribeye, pho tom (shrimp pho), beef com, bun bowl with beef, chicken lo mein, and cranberry salmon. the white lotus salad and the beef salad are also good. they also have good sushi from the menu of the lounge next door.,

the staff are very helpful and if by chance you aren't getting the service you need, any staff member is willing to step in and get you what you need. the owner and her husband are cheerful and friendly, and a few of the waitstaff have worked there for years. this is often a sign of good management, which is reflected in the generally consistent quality of the dishes. lyly has had a hand in starting up several other hu dat restaurants, but prefers to be hands-on at "her" restaurant.

this is our default restaurant. when we don't know what we want or when the place we wanted to go to is closed, we go to hu dat because we know it will always be consistent and good. when my husband was alive we ate there at least once a week.

love, love, love it!. hu dat is always a good choice for good food, using fresh high quality ingredients, at a reasonable price! i think that i have tried almost everything on the menu, but my all time favorite is the summer salad...it is fresh, with the proper amount of dressing and seasoning. if you have a hankering for something light yet filling, give the summer salad a try, it is equally good with shrimp or tuna.

best place in town. i'm tough to please, but i love this place!

the service, price and quality are consistently excellent. the prices are reasonable and i have never been disappointed.

i compare every other restaurant in cc to hu-dat on staples when judging - rarely do i find one that compares.

my favorites: bun combo, beef lo-mein, beef com

hu-dat noodle house. this is one of the best bargains around and a favorite for tamucc students in corpus christi.

we recently enjoyed an evening meal here. the crab rangoons were excellent for an appetizer. my boyfriend ordered the pho xao, which is wok-friend rice noodles, sauteed fresh cabbage, bean sprouts, and chicken. i ordered the lo mein with shrimp, crab meat, and squid. we shared, and both were great. everything was perfectly cooked. there is a huge menu selection, by the way, so there is probably something for everyone.

the service was not slow at all, even though we were there on a busy evening. we were seated immediately. there is plenty of seating available, and waiting is minimal, if ever. ask to sit against the wall for less traffic by your table. we had very attentive wait staff who made sure our glasses were kept full and we were satisfied with our meal. since this was our first visit to hu-dat, our waitress took the time to explain menus items we were interested in . her suggestions were extremely helpful

the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and enjoyable. the room decor was standard for an americanized version of an asian restaurant. the dining room was busy, but not overly hectic. we were seated in a side area, so traffic by our table was minimal.

the prices are extremely reasonable, especially for those on a university budget. overall, hu-dat is a bargain for the corpus christi area. add this restaurant to your short list of places to dine on the cheap.

two thumbs up!

can you say imitation. i ordered the seafood soup and it had imitation crab and imitation this and that in it. for the price you would think they would try to use fresh (not frozen) food for their entree's to distance themselves from their competition. will not go here ever again.

nice location with a very friendly staff. te lighting was pretty dim for a lunch setting, but it was very clean and had tasteful decor. the vietnamese egg rolls were great! i ordered the lunch lo mein with chicken and beef. the meat was fairly dry, but the lo mein was cooked very well. the dish could have used more seasoning. overall, a good experience. i will return when i'm back in the city.
