used to eat here when i was stationed at fort belvoir years ago. on a business trip and recommended to coworkers. still a great place for an upscale dining experience. i had the rainbow chicken w/o carrots, others had the crystal chicken and the sizzling triple delight and we shared the vegetable tempura appetizer. everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and seasoned with quality ingredients. we were served a spoonful of sorbet after the appetizer to cleanse the palette and the waitress brought us hot towels after the meal. team of servers kept our water glasses filled and were super attentive. will definitely be back next time i'm in the area.

we were quite pleasantly surprised by the quality, value and service we received at house of dynasty. we ordered the lunch specials and for about $9 a lunch order, we also received hot tea, soup, and an egg roll. we received attentive service and the food was just perfect. not too salty, not too sweet, not too much sauce. if you are used to fast food chinese restaurants, give this place a try and you’ll see both the quality and value in comparison. finally, the ambiance was nice, peaceful and clean. we plan to come back again as this place is such a gem! this place is definitely at the top of its class.

very popular local place. large menu with large portions and friendly and efficient service. we had vegetable dumplings , spicy bean curd, and double cooked pork. the dumplings were pretty good although the noodles were thicker than i’d like. entrees were a bit too sweet for us. made it hard to finish the meal although everything was perfectly cooked.

we’re planning another visit to try the whole fish and other noodle entrees.

excellent. near hayfield hs. chinese america food that you probably grew up on. chinese people will say it isn't authentic....and it isn't. it's been there 30 years. suggestions: baby eggplant with shrimp or chicken (garlic sauce), general tsou's shrimp or chicken, dumplings, cashew chicken, sichuan chicken and greenbeans. the wonton soup could be a little better.

great, reasonable and quick. the place was packed at lunch on new year's eve. i ordered one of the lunch combinations from their lunch menu which consisted of your choice of soup, entree, spring roll and rice (white, brown or fried). each item was great and i didn't feel overloaded with food after eating the meal. the price is reasonable for the amount of food and i wasn't charged for the hot tea.

restaurant was clean and the service was excellent.

i do recommend this restaurant.

we enjoyed a great meal with welcoming service. the staff was very attentive without hovering. they treated my kids with great care which added to our dinning pleasure.

portions are super generous and handsomely delicious. ambiance iw wonderful. recommend the beef and broccoli and the singapore rice noodles.

a favorite of ours for 22 years - we found it when we were scoping out the area after putting a contract on a bouse in nearby kingstowne. food is nearly always perfect. the bot washcloths and sorbet (dinnertime only) are a nice extra touch that .o other restaurant in the area offers. they don't use peanut oil for cooking, if you have a family member who.is allergic, nor do the egg rolls contain peanut butter. of course they do serve kung pao dishes so be allergen contamination might occur but our son has never had a problem.

worth going back to. we don't live in northern va any more, but when we return for visits to family and friends, we make an effort to eat dinner here. the food is done very well and the staff are friendly and attentive. if you want to guarantee yourself a tasty dinner, ask your waiter for his recommendation.

excellent food, excellent service including a hot wash cloth after dinner, and a nice atmosphere. be sure to make a reservation if you don't want to wait. this place gets very busy and is a terrific value.

good eats, good price. the food here is always well-prepped and tasty! i love their orange beef and bbq spareribs. it's pretty standard "american-friendly" chinese, but done well. and if service is your schtick, then you'll like it for that as well. if you come more than a couple of times, the staff recognize you and make you welcome!

wonderful. i was absolutely delighted to find this chinese restaurant after my favorite chinese restaurant (not in the dc area) closed. this is truly the best chinese around. large portions. delicious orange sauce. friendly staff. very nice extras like sorbet between courses and warm cloths at the end of the meal. prices are very reasonable. lovely atmosphere. i highly recommend you choosing house of dynasty!
