i've been buying pizza from the hawthorne store for years. the evening of may 16th i ordered a pizza to be delivered, i was offered cold beer or a bottle of wine to be delivered at the same time, i chose a 6 pack of oly tall boys. the pizza arrived and was tasty but the beer was warm. i immediately called to complain but was brushed off with the excuse they were out of cold beer. i was not pleased and said so but again the brush off.

bleah. like dominos? you'll love hot lips.
gluten free pie was abominable, and the regular pies tasteless & uninspired.
woefully inconsistent with toppings.
will not be trying any of the locations again.
life is too short to eat bad pizza. especially in portland.

the spud & bacon pizza was pretty cool to try. potatoes on a pizza totally work! i love the thin crusts, overall very tasty. they have quite a few varieties ready to try when you come in, and a couple daily features, too. the breadstick are great, and huge! the place itself is perfect for pizza, nicer than i expected but still casual and with friendly staff.

awesome pizza. i got the vegan pizza( not a vegan, it just looked delicious) and it was. phenomenal food, cool atmosphere.

the best part was the thick mouthfeel that the soda gave. it was finely pulped and as if i could taste the whole soda making process in my mouth — crushing of the raspberries, passing the crushed berries through a fine mesh, then the berry slurry was mixed with bubbly water, lemonade and sugar.

great service. i went to hotlips pizza today b/c they have vegan pizza. my children are allergic to dairy. we went to order the pizza and they had a vegan variety but it was loaded with a ton of veggies. to many green things for a 3 and 4 year old. after speaking with them about this the gentleman made two pizza sticks with just the diaya cheese (vegan) for my children. the regular pizza was huge for a slice. quick and fast service. i really appreciate them going the extra step especially when both of my kids were so excited to be able to order pizza out for the first time. thank you!

local, delish, huge slices and creative flavors with great staff. get a cookie, they're great. i wish the slices didn't vary so much in terms of how much cheese, sauce and crust as well as how well done they are but it's always yummy.

hot lips has been a go-to pizza place for us for awhile, mostly because it’s some of the best pizza in portland. add in reasonable prices (even without blogger discount) such as a $6.50 slice/salad/drink combo and house-made fruity soda jared is especiall
