do not let the name fool you! this is not a cocktail bar, unless you consider the cheesecake factory a cocktail bar. yes, they have some signature drinks, they have some decent booze, but ask them for anything off menu that isn't a martini or margarita? highly doubtful they will be able to handle it. also, one of the two bartenders who served us that night was incredibly rude. even if you've never heard of a cocktail more exotic than a moscow mule, that's your chance to learn and expand your knowledge base. it's not an opportunity to mock and insult your customer.
ignoring my desire to leave so that my wife could eat dinner, we were sat fairly quickly by a very pleasant host. the food on the menu looked and sounded quite good, so i resolved to move on and not let the earlier experience ruin the night. our waiter was quick and efficient, was personable, and did a good job throughout the meal. unfortunately, the food did not live up to the tastiness promised in the menu. the mushroom soup was solid, but that was the best thing we ate. it was all bland, pretty meh all around. to be honest, as someone who hates chain restaurants, i would have rather gone to the cheesecake factory. at least then i would have know what i was getting up front.
summed up, way overpriced for what you get and not worth visiting. there are way too many good places to eat in the area to subject yourself to the subpar dining experience you will get at honu.
