the one problem with this place is that they don't take any reservation. you can pop in and give your name and phone number, go for the coffee to lolly and cooks or valentino for 20min. but this scenario works if you are the local, and you are not traveling especially to eat here. what would i recommend is the wild mushrooms on toast. really well cooked (always) and very tasty. works if you are the mushroom lover. i was also trying turkey burger. burger itself was quite weird in taste and consistency but well seasoned and for some reason i would order it again. skinny fries with smoked aioli is great but way overpriced (5euro). tip - order scrambled eggs with toast and grilled tomato (or whatever from the menu that goes with eggs). the last time i've been there i've paid 5 euros for that combination, cheaper than anywhere : -d great deal. also, no soy milk.

really like the decor in this place, really funky space. headed here before the grand canal one night and liked it, not a huge selection for dinner but what i got was very tasty.. i went for the turkey burger and sweet potato fries. perhaps it's down to location but even so i did feel €15 for a burger was pricey.

i ordered herbstreet brunch plate. my first time tasting black pudding and i liked it. mashed potatoes, bacon, eggs and bread were good. the sausage meat was actually tasty but the minty flavour in the spice mix of it wasn't for me so i couldn't finish it all.
service is good.

this place is always busy, good sign right?

had brunch here on sunday and it was delicious. the menu is quite refined so you don't have too much choice, you will see the usual's - pancakes, waffles, eggs benedict, full irish etc.

i got the eggs benedict and it came with ham, you can upgrade your option to bacon also. i really enjoyed the ham, it had a smoky flavour to it. there wasn't too much hollandaise sauce too so i could taste my food. my brunch partner got the waffles with clotted cream - yum! price wise it was ok, standard prices and ok sizes.

we sat outside and they had heaters and blankets which was nice as it was a cool day.

i would recommended herbstreet for brunch but expect to wait to be seated. we had a 30 minute wait so popped next door for a coffee until we got the call.

breakfast, breakfast, breakfast. go to herb street and get the pancakes, ridiculously good! myself and my friend usually get pancakes, maple syrup and fruit. grand canal is lovely on a nice day, just be warned there will be a queue.

went here for brunch recently and despite it being a long wait (not ideal for your first meal of the day) the food was amazing. i had the smoked salmon eggs benedict which was cooked to perfection and they served great coffee too. nice location and medium prices.

my god, the chicken wings!! i suffer from serious food envy and today really took the biscuit - they looked bloody amazing!!!!!!

i however ordered the herbstreet combo which consisted of a goats cheese and pancetta quiche, quinoa and pine nut salad and a cup of soup. i'm a sucker for goats cheese and the quiche did not let me done! quinoa salad was also extremely tasty but unfortunately i wasn't too crazy about the butternut squash and garlic soup. although, my friend also ordered it and loved it so guess that's just my personal taste.

overall i think this is a good spot, prices are a bit high for what you're getting but that definitely will not put me off returning...for those chicken wings!

great spot if the weather is good. always quite busy and good food. around €15 per person for a main, but it's fairly standard in the area. have gone a good few times for lunch. a solid option.

this place is close to my work so always a nice spot for lunch! it's small enough so it could be wise to reserve a table if you've a big group!
herbstreet are famous for their wings which are unreal! i always go for them with their sweet potato wedges and it's a really good feed! great location for a lunch date and a seat by the window is a great spot for people watching in grand canal! also a load of heathy options on the menu too!

we always have a great time here .. whether it's grabbing breakfast with a pint (days i'm not working ) or a super delicious brunch with a nice glass of verdejo .. awesome place for vegan lovers and vegetarian junkies! highly recommend the sunday brunch when the sun is out along with the kayaks in the canal!

visited here for the second time this weekend. chicken wings were amazing, i had heard a lot about them so hopes were high! loved the range of food on the brunch menu- but it is quite expensive. €5 for a side of chips is a bit steep with most other dishes around the €12-14 mark. staff were super friendly and made the experience nice and relaxed which is just what you want on a saturday!

i was introduced to this restaurant by a work colleague and i was instantly hooked. i was a regular for brekkie when i worked across the street. unfortunately i don't work in dublin anymore so i just go on special occasions. brunch on a sunday with that corned beef hash is divine. happy munching!!
