the best burgers you're going to find in this area hands down!

i've been to hawkin's more than once so this isn't new to me. however, this is the first time i've ever ordered the hawkin's special. this burger is massive!!! i was able to eat half before throwing in the white towel.

most burgers at hawkin's are pretty big in portion as well and they're delicious. that's what i love about this place...nice size burgers with tons of flavor from ingredients that you can tell are fresh in both look and taste. the burgers also have a home cooked feel to them which i like as well. nothing like a good home cooked burger. i've always left this place stuffed and satisfied. if you're not full after having a hawkin's burger, then you have one hell of a hunger/metabolism.

full of flavor fried catfish. my husband had the turkey sandwich and was literally licking his fingers-delicious! i had the fried catfish.omg!!! the flavor is simply out of this world. loved it! not to mention the hot sauce and the fries were perfect. the service was outstanding. it was obvious that a lot of time and effort goes into preparing food.highly recommend this restaurant, and we look forward to returning.

hawkins is the place to eat!. i loooove this place! the food is great and you get more than your money worth. everything i have eaten there has been delicious. i drove from redondo beach, carson, and puente hills to get their food because it is worth it. make sure you call in your order because they are always crowded and the wait could take a while. they also have that monster burrito we use to get for parties when i was younger. i think i will go back today. see you all there.

this song immediately came to mind after i devoured my whipper burger at work. one, the song is supposed to reflect on positive change in the hood after the 2008 recession (i wiki’d that). that’s roughly around the time food/restaurant blogging started to pick up steam as the new art and culture. while it hasn’t exactly been a golden age (see: yelp “elitism”), the sign of the times did help shine light on restaurants that have been criminally long-ignored, in areas that used to be deemed too “urban” for the standard foodie demographic. nowadays, you see plenty of “adventurous” diners (like myself) patting ourselves on the back while posting photos of us waiting in line in compton for some bludso’s on instagram/twitter. another reason “put on” came to mind after i finished eating my burger from hawkins house of burgers was because i thought of all the pounds i was putting on eating

this is the best burger that ive ever eaten!!!! you must try the bacon cheeseburger!!!!

the location may not be all that great but i drive very very far just for one of their burgers. they're absolutely amazing. my husband loves the burritos. it's inexpensive & you get a lot of great food for very little money. i would recommend this restaurant to any & everybody who loves good food

i prayed to the lord and asked him one favor before i bite the big one. i asked him to get me through the day because i do not want my visit to top lsland seafood (worst dim sum place ever!) as my last dining experience. it just cannot end that way for me
