harry's bar and burger

huge disappointment. i have wanted to go here for some time. finally went on an early saturday evening. i had high hopes but was hugely disappointed. based on reviews and what i have read about harry's bar i really expected this place to be good. let me start by saying harry's has a great concept, and potential to be really good.
the burgers are small. you get two per order (sliders). which is ok, but i feel we should be able to mix and match burgers and not have to get the same two in an order. they claim to use only top grade beef. thats great, but if you smash the snot out of them on the grill you lose all the juice and flavor. our burgers came out max 1/8" thick and completely over done with no flavor.
the prices are not that bad, ~ $5.00 for two sliders, but for what harry's offer, is way too much.
another issue on the night we went there was that the kitchen staff was having a conflict which made it uncomfortable for us.
if harry's would improve their burgers (just the meat itself) and offer a regular size burger for those who prefer that, i believe they would do well. however, given the my experience, this place is not worth it.

staff is polite and attentive however not personable or friendly. food is great and at great prices! drinks are way over priced. crowded but worth it!

good cocktails with delicious mini burger

after seeing water fire show, we realized almost all restaurants are closed. we were looking for one good place to have dinner and one good sarmatian suggested this. we found this after 20 mins of ‘quest’.

we were 7-8 people and we got the table upstairs. our server ( i forgot her name) took good care of us. she suggested about mini burgers and i am glad i had it. we ordered drinks-chicken and meat meal. it was all good. i liked the ambiance, it was cool casual kind of.

recommended.

incredible small, devilishly delicious burgers. wear your sweatpants to go there. don't plan on skinny jeans the next day. and eat. these burgers are sinful and terrific. the shoestring fries are cooked to perfection and the beer on tap is always cold and poured correctly.

this is my first time here at harry's. the service wasn't all that great. the place is too small and crowded. the food was average cheap if that is what you are looking for. my two sliders i ordered were two different type of burger. the flavors wasn't consistent.

my first time here as a brand new native to ri. i don't eat beef or pork, so i naturally was concerned that i wouldn't find anything that i enjoyed but i was pleasantly surprised. although i was freezing from the ac but i thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. def returning!

harry’s has excellent comfort pub-style food that really hits the spot. i highly recommend harry’s for a unique beer, a couple of deliciously hearty sliders, and a side of fries.

consistently amazing. i'm a regular customer at harry's, and this place just never disappoints. the sliders are always fresh, hot, juicy, and flavorful. they always have the perfect meat to topping to bun ratio that creates a perfect storm of flavors in your mouth. yes, they are sliders so if you are hungry, i would order a "threesome" (gets you 3 sliders instead of two) or just order two pairs of sliders if you're really hungry. also, for fries you have to get the sweet potato fries. the regular fries are just frozen, but the sweet potato fries are made fresh, and always cooked to a crispy perfection. the cryptonite aioli that comes with them is also awesome. the beer list is great, almost all bottles so you get a totally different selection than most bars that have a million drafts which is really cool. the service is solid, a bunch of cute girls work there, and the service is usually pretty quick. i have rarely ever had a problem with my order. just note, the place is pretty small so i wouldn't plan on bringing your whole extended family there, but nevertheless harry's is amazing, and i guarantee it won't disappoint!

some places rely on gimmicks and schtick. this is one of those places. burgers were micro sized. so small that even a tiny potato roll dwarfed them. roll to burger ratio is so high, all you taste is bread. then there's the $2.50 thimble full of grocery store brand, frozen shoestring french fries. dry and tasteless. add the insult of a $9.00 moscow mule and you have the perfect recipe for a ripoff joint. it survives on people being caught up in the schtick and forgetting that they're getting a pretty crappy, expensive meal. would not return.

top ten burger. easily one of the best burgers in the country. yes, they're sliders but are filling and flavorful. the sides are fantastic as well. the service can be a bit uneven -- sometimes great, sometimes overly casual -- and getting rid of the carpet upstairs wouldn't be bad idea but overall ... fun, affordable, and phenomenal burgers ...

great sliders and fries, for really cheap! the beer menu was really extensive, and the atmosphere was very "college hill"!!!!

great sliders. great fries. would be better if they had fountain drinks instead of cans, but that's minor. it was nice and quick for lunch, but parking is an issue.

stopped into harry's for lunch. the food was good. they serve sliders, i didn't realize this but it was enough for lunch. they have a nice beer selection and the service was quick. would i go out of my taway to eat there again, no, but if you're in the neighborhood its a good lunch.

i’ve sampled the harry’s classic cheeseburger, as well as the bacon cheeseburger, pastrami burger, crunch burger, and the sloppy harry chili burger. all were cooked perfectly juicy.

needs burgers. this place has a limited menu and it's all decent quality stuff. however i only have so much use for sliders which is all they offer in the way of "burgers". being downtown they could offer a regular burger to go for the lunch crowd and i guarantee you i would be there once a week since there are currently no decent burgers available in that area. would it be so hard to offer a $7 or $8 regular sized burger to people who work downtown? if they did i would trumpet harry's name from the rooftops.
