hamburger mary's bar & grille

went to hamburger mary, the other night and was a bit dissappointed, the show was ok? the food i thought was tasty, but was pricey, and nothing out of the ordinary, they bring the $10 hamburger, the size of a mac. quaterpounder, with a huge steak knive stuck in the middle, no need for it, you can cut it with a regular table knive, glass of wine $8 , not a comeback place

great atmosphere with good food. happened to be downtown for the first time in a long time with a friend and decided to have an early sunday morning lunch. had heard about hamburger mary's so decided to try it out. we are glad we did.

first off is the atmosphere. campy and definitely gay-friendly, this place is a lot of fun, from the art-decoish interior to the red slipper (or is that ruby?) that the check comes in. the wait staff was very attentive and friendly, and our food arrived promptly.

i had the hamburger, and it was a very good burger. nice and crunchy on the outside, well chargrilled, and cooked to a perfect medium inside with great flavor. a very good burger.

my friend had a brunch item. the only complaint was that the food could have been hotter. but otherwise, it was a good meal and a great experience. i'll be back.....

quite an experience. hamburger mary's is all about the experience. from the "b.j. burger" on the menu to the red high-heel that the check is served in, mary's leaves you blushing and laughing.

however, hamburger mary's is still a serious hamburger place with a great burger! i did end up ordering the "b.j." which was essentially a guacamole burger. it was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a crunchy side of fries.

best burgers in town!. i love, love, love hamburgers. i came to hamburger mary's to support a new local business, and because i had been to the hamburger mary's in san diego and hawaii. well, i loved the burger. amazing! try the spicy one with jalapenos and hot sauce! mmmm!
