food was excellend and what great deals. had skirt steak and talapia combo and a frozen margarita for $15. the portion size was huge. my wife and i split it. my son had a seafood combo with scallops, sprump and talapia for $10. service was good and you can even get coupons at their website. www.gustavosmexgrill.com

i wanted to like this place. i live very close to here and i love mexican! the first time i went, i got a combination dinner. the burrito was flat and the queso was watery and runny. the second time one of my to go menu items was wrapped in foil and was a gooey mess when i opened it to eat. queso was still watery. my son ordered a kids meal and the fries were almost burnt. i wanted to like this place but, sadly, i don't.

an excellent place to eat lunch or dinner. the food is always hot and delicious. the price is reasonable. the waiters, especially juan and emeterio, are excellent. the drinks are delicious and priced very reasonably.
we can not recommend it more. give it a try. they do take credit and debit cards.

surprised with bad service. the reviews we had all read were about how fantastic the service was. it's just our luck. our poor server had to take care of a party of 15+, us, and like 3 other tables of 6. i understand why the service was bad from him but there were multiple other staff members loafing around. we had to ask for "more" of everything including happy hour margaritas, chips, and salsa!! food was tasty but certainly didn't look like the photos. 1st margarita was good, second one about choked me with all the sour mix! pretty disappointed with our 8 mile drive. we had heard it was worth the drive from prospect.

we love love love this place! excellent service. upbeat atmosphere. takes reservations. the food is delicious! the monster frozen strawberry daquiri is the best and has plenty of alcohol. i recommend this place to everyone.

awesome!!!. they make their tortillas homemade daily, the ingredients are fresh! the shrimp are huge! the shrimp cocktail is the best, there is no better mexican food to be found in oldham county! seriously!

c'mon critics- clean atmosphere, caring staff with good customer service. any local business offering choices beyond the chains that utilize existing vacant buildings is a win. gustavos also supports students involved with extracurricular activities.... a positive influence in the community

don't bother. we had been wanting to try gustavo's for awhile and finally did. and we'll never go back. there was noone to seat us when we walked in, finally some woman walked up with a baby in a carrier and led us to a table. it was all downhill from there. the margarita sucked, they did not make it at the bar, it was premade mix and tasted like it didn't have any tequila at all. i have three kids who all ordered entrees, but only one entree arrived so my daughter ate while the boys had to wait. and the waiter lied about giving their food to another table. my husband's fajita meat was full of bones, seriously? the service was horrible. go to el tarasco at crestwood station instead. we will from now on.

brilliant, family driven service. everyone is always so happy and energetic. very personal people. the food reflects this, and the price is remarkable for the good plates. the fajitas are the best i've ever had, and the margaritas are a bit more sharp tasting, but definitely match the big personality food. plan a trip for this place!
