what makes an ice cream stand warrant five stars? surely, the ice cream must be good, but there are so many other things that have to be making you want to return.
here’s my list to justify this 5* rating.
- they offer both soft and hard ice cream.
- there are 13 soft or twist combinations of flavors.
- there are 37 hard flavors.
- there are 11 soft yogurt flavors.
- there are 5 hard yogurt flavors.
- there are 8 soft flavorburst flavors (whatever that is).
- there are 2 non-dairy flavors.
- there are 3 sugar-free/fat-free flavors.
- they offer ice cream or yogurt shakes.
- they have flurry candies.
- they have sundaes and banana splits.
- they have home-made brownies for sundaes.
- they have 11 sundae toppings (including a sugar-free/fat-free hot fudge).
- they have regular cones, waffle cones, dishes, and waffle bowls.
- they have at least 6 windows to place orders at.
- they have two workers at each window taking orders.
- the staff are friendly and fast.
- there prices are reasonable for the quantity served.
- they stay open until 10 pm for that late craving. just be aware that they are their busiest between 7 and 9 pm.
- of the various flavors of hard ice cream i’ve tried so far, the intensity of flavor is strong and good.
- there is plenty of parking in their parking lot.
- they are not that far from my home so they are convenient.
- and finally, this is their 23rd year of operation (so this is my 23rd reason).
