we like it!. my wife and i like it. not a 'fast food burger'. try the bacon mushroom swiss burger. ummm

adequate burger, terrible service. heard it was good, should have just eaten at mcdonald's. burger was adequate but bland. tried the fries first and they tasted like they were cooked fresh 30 minutes before and microwaved, very disappointing. the service after ordering was atrocious. no one there over the age of 20 and most were too busy hanging with their friends to help, or care. just go eat fast food, better and cheaper.

custom made burger. my first visit to grump's (and certainly not the last). this is not a fast food burger place. the young lady alexy who waited on me was great. burger built to perfection, added jalapenos and boy did they add em'. complete with toasted bun. washed it all down with ice cold lemonade. this is a top 10 burger place.

on this day, i opted for the standard cheeseburger, but decided to amp it up with a jalapeño bun (.99¢ upcharge). i also was intrigued by their sweet potato fries until i saw the dirty fries on the list of available fry choices. grilled jalapeño and onions smothering my fries? how can i say no? my mouth watered at the thought of it. i grabbed my drink glass (the large is refillable for $1 on every visit thereafter) and sat down to enjoy some peanuts before my meal arrived. they point out they are not a fast food joint on a sign near the register. hand-formed, never frozen burgers take time. why rush perfection, i thought. wouldn't have it any other way. as i enjoyed the peanuts, washed down with a tall glass of half-and-half sweet tea, i watched videos from gac on the tvs around the room.  my dirty fries arrived soon and i was surprised by the mounds of jalapeño's and onions covering them. pleasantly surprised. i should have ordered a side of ranch dressing, i thought. but, alas, i dug in and it was pure greatness. they were no match. a few minutes later a gentleman who i presumed to be the owner or manager arrived to inform me the supply truck did not have the jalapeño buns so my burger w

love it.. i've eaten at the one in granbury and now the one in burleson. great burger. wonderful service. i've known collier, the owner, for years and his place reminds me of him...friendly, fun, and all about making others comfortable. we need a grumps in ft. worth near tcu!

i liked the interior atmosphere, good cold beer on tap, location, service alright...but, just as good a burger at braum's, carl's jr., whataburger. won't be back. disappointed. good, not great. for those prices and to make it as a stand alone burger joint, gotta be great. i'm sorry. that is just the fact.

ok burger; not impressed. i gave this place a couple of chances and both times was disappointed. the burger was okay, but not great.

what particularly annoyed me the second time was how they handled the order. they make it clear that they do not serve fast-food burgers and that the meat takes time to cook. i'm fine with that. real food takes time to cook. what i didn't like was the fact that they made our milkshakes first and let them sit there the whole time the burger was cooking. by the time we got them, they were too far melted--after sitting all that time in the hot kitchen. beyond that, the shakes didn't have much flavor. not impressive shakes at all.

too many other great places in town. won't go back.

decent burger, just not great. it was just really okay. the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere cute, but this was not a burger worth waiting for. it had good flavor, but i was dissappointed with the size of the patty, as the bun totally overwhelmed the patty. i could get the mushroom swiss burger anywhere, for this. now the jalapeno ketchup was yummy, and the fries okay, but the ketchup made the fries. my husband was dissappointed in the size of the beef patty,as well, and again, the fries were just okay. his feeling also was that being the bun was cold and mushy, it could have been grilled or toasted, so it seemed like it was just a store bought bun. my husband is a burger hound, and this just did not fill his need. for the price, there was not enough fries or meat on the bun. the meat was good, just not enough so it seemed like a tidbit to the idea of a burger. the servings are considerably smaller than expected, unless you happen to be on a diet or a tiny person. i am small, size 4, and yes i left feeling the need for more meat!

good burger but nothing spectacular. i've heard it through the grapevine that the burgers here are pretty good. some of this information came from local food critics and bloggers. it has gotten quite a bit of press over the past year or so, so i thought i've give grumps a try. my first problem was trying to decide what kind of a burger do i want? it's not that they have a vast menu. it's just that they have about five kinds of burgers. that's all. yes, they have margaritas too. but i am not going to call this a bar. everyone around me was having was primarily eating so i would say the focus is on food.

i decided to have the bacon cheeseburger. that seemed to be the most complex burger on the menu. the young lady taking my order said that the bacon they use is marinated in a spicy jalapeno liquid which gives it a special spiciness. that sounded just fine with me. i had all the added attractions included on the burger--lettuce, tomatoes, onions. i also decided to have onion rings. counter service was very friendly. i picked out a table. lots of tables that sat six or more people. they also had an upstairs area with additional tables. each table had one of two bowls of shelled peanuts and a bucket to the used for depositing the shells. they even have a sign saying not to drop the shells on the floor. i guess they do not want to be confused with logan's roadhouse.

there were a couple of televisions, one on fox news and the other on espn without sound but with closed captioning. they had piped in some radio station over it, and for the life of me i couldn't tell you what it was. it seemed to be mostly advertisements. the decor is mostly made of different signs, license plates. the interior didn't really make an impact on me. hopefully the food would.

after about ten minutes a server brought my burger and rings. the burger was wrapped in white, thin, opaque paper, and the onion rings came in a little paper basket. the burger was good, reminiscent of a culver's butter burger. the bun was a shiny egg-flavored bun with a butterwashed top. the bacon was good as well, but i didn't notice any jalapeno flavor jump out at me. i was not impressed with the onion rings. the onions themselves were fresh, but the batter was bland and too smooth. i am more a fan of the batter that has some good texture and is flaky, almost too flaky, that pieces of it fall off of the onion ring. these rings were more enticing by eye than by tongue.

bottom line? grumps' burgers are good if you live in the burleson area. this is not what i would call a destination burger place, but if you happen to be in the vicinity, why not give them a try.

not impressed at all. burger was dry. fried pickles were too salty to eat and for us to say that, they'd reallllllly have to be salty. they should advertise the blt as a lettuce sandwich. we were disappointed after all the good reviews. more of a drinking place than eating. don't think we'll even give this place a second chance.

nice place. came through here for the honey bike tour and found a few good places to eat in burleson. nice little old town square with some interesting shops and a good little burger joint called grumps.

we like grumps.. we come here quite often and love the jalepeno ketchup. the staff is sometimes over helpful when they come by our table 10x while we eat but that ok, at least they are not texting thir boyfriends.

this place is pretty good. the servers were friendly and attentive, the fries hot (if not exceptional) and the burger was just as advertised. i highly recommend. a great meal.

disappointing after the hype. the burger grind was too fine, resulting in a dry, grainy patty. too salty and no other flavor. nice toasted bun, green chiles were canned and watery. french fries were tasteless. the jalapeno ketchup is just hot; whataburger spicy ketchup is more flavorful. the dear departed sandburgs was better by a mile.

awesome ketchup!. burgers were good....ketchup was the best. jalapeno ketchup...yum!!!
