giorgio's place

just one of the many quality things about this place is their toppings - fresh brown mushrooms - not from a can! and the spinach is good, too. i have frequented here for lunch for years. they sell slices, and they are thin crust and crispy. i haven't been able to eat tomato sauce for a few years, and their white pizza is wonderful. their cheese steaks are better than peppi's, in my opinion. the only thing i found to be lacking here is the soup - but not a key menu item.

we loved the food, especially the eggplant parmesan with the homemade sauce. the sicilian pizza was the best around. we will definitely be back to try more of their wonderful homemade italian selections! the owner and staff were friendly and accommodating to our special requests.

food was very good! easy quick spot to stop and grab something on the go or when you just want to chill in the house. i would define recommend the italian hoagie!

customer service. old school style.. food is great. best chicken hoagie, gnocchi, meatball, and pizza around. everything i have ever eaten here was good. great prices. i even love the old school charm from the little italian ladies. you gotta try this place for yourself.

worst customer service ever.. mw and a group of friends walked into this place 45 mins befor they closed to order a pizza for take out. we were greeted rudely by the short woman with glasses and dark hair behind the countetr with "you ain't gettin' nothin for here. we close in 45 minutes." to which we replied..." no, we want to get take out."
her response. .."good, cause i ain't stayin."

having waited nearly 10 minutes and she still had not come to take our order...we walked out.

we understand that restaurant staff may not want ro stay late, but to be dismissive and rude when customers come into a restaurant for the first time, makes me never want to go back for a second try.

worst pizza ever. i ordered the deep dish and it was over-baked and just not properly cooked. it was pretty tasteless too!

what about the meatballs?. sure the pizza's great and the staff is friendly, but what about the meatballs? i've been going to georgio's for at least 10 years and mostly end up getting their fabulicious meatball sub. won't get one anywhere else!

favorite lunch spot. i enjoy coming here for lunch break. wallet-friendly, big window for sunlight, nice selection. the sicilian pizza has been my go-to. the toppings are fresh and cooked through. i love the service: everyone is super friendly and seem to really care about the food they're serving and their customers. portions are nice. good place!

running (1979). the c.p.o. (celebrity photo with owner) at this place is michael freaking douglas. now i’m down with that. you should take a lesson, owner of the upper crust. if you’re going to be a pretentious prick like myself, and hang up a picture of yourself with somebody famous, pick somebody cool. michael douglas, wife 25 years his junior, definitely. dr. oz, please. here’s what i suggest. get your acquaintances together, and attend the old allegheny west holiday house tour in december. tickets are $25. get all banged up and head down. it’s two hours of a guide taking you through the houses of all these hoity toitys. the fun in it is draining your flask of crown royal without getting caught, and trying not to laugh during the in house presentations. when the tour is over, giorgio’s is right there, that is, if you choose not to crash the after party for all the house owners. go with a deep dish. i haven't had one, but they look really good.

giorgio's pizza. the pizza was great. it was made fresh with one of the best homemade pizza sauces i've ever tasted. the owners are also very nicedefinitely coming back here to eat again!

one of my favorite pizza joints for sure!. frequenting giorgio's isn't a difficult feat. i've only ever really gotten the pizza and fries here, because for a quick stop at lunch, it's a great deal. the people that own and run giorgio's are friendly. it gets a little toasty in there during the summer, but you can always get your grub to go!

best 'new york'-style pizza. bottom-line; this is simply the best; and the only real: ny pizza(add a little shaker cheese), the only other in 40 years is:(napoli bridgeville which is a very good- "almost-ny type"). the excellent home-made italian dressing is a refreshing light fresh basil vinagerette.

great pizza. i just read a review from someone who said they didn't like the sauce cause it taste like ravioli sauce. i know for a fact that this is one of the best homade pizza sauce in pittsburgh! everyone is entitled to their opinion but dont let that post discourage you from stopping into this family owned buisness that takes pride in everything they serve!! their chicken hoagie is out of this world!! their sauce is not jarred nor taste like "ravoli" sauce!! by the way...what is ravoli sauce? lol
