outstanding! like being in a nyc deli without the travel. everything was delicious.

prices have become astronomical, the food is still great but i spent $35 on two deli sandwiches with one side each and no drinks. i have loved this place for years and i'm never going back.

chicken salad sandwich on rye. gershon's chicken salad is just right with lettuce between two slices of rye bread. perfect! also try gershon's for catering, eat in and take out. the deli items may make you think you're in new york city. the upper union street neighborhood has gone through some rennovations and is safe and attractive. many little boutiques, including one for your pets - the most amazing "head to tail pet wellness center" right next door!

best jewish deli in area.... it was important to make that distinction. huge sandwiches and pickled everything! i wish there was one in albany and it wasn't so far away....

best in town.... if you want a deli that sports a fair range of specialty foods, has really okay service, and more or less forces interaction with other diners, gershon's is the place. their serving size is appropriate, and while there are still a few items i haven't tried, i have yet to not like any offering. good 'safe' place to take people to for a quick meal.
