food:
we had come here on a monday afternoon at around 5:30 pm for a quick gelato. i had settled on a large chocolate gelato in a cone ($7.34), as i am a huge chocolate fan. the taste of it was quite good however, i would have liked if there was more gelato in the cone as the gelato didn't seem enough considering the cone was very large. i did enjoy the variety of flavours that were available, along with the promise that the gelato was made in-house.
atmosphere:
this little shop was situated in little italy, which had a number of stairs going to the front door, making it impossible for people with strollers (such as myself) to get to. once inside, i noticed the shop was very small, and the seating wasn't convenient for someone who had a stroller. also, it wasn't decorated very nicely, it looked like a shop that only just opened. i would have loved to see more décor related to the gelato theme, which would have been nice to see.
service:
i was served by a kind younger woman, whom seemed pleasant enough during my visit. she didn't do anything out of the ordinary to make my visit a memorable one. however, i was impressed with the fact that this location had email billing, which was much more convenient than having to carry around a bill in my purse for hours on end. i had to sit outside and eat the cone, and there were no napkins on the table, which was inconvenient as i needed them while i was eating.
cost:
1 large chocolate gelato in a cone: $6.50 + tax = $7.34
would you return?
i found the pricing to be a bit too high for what i received, and the atmosphere wasn't to my liking.
