galaxy grill

been to galaxy grill today... and we ordered rump with chicken as well as the chicken snitzel, the chicken quarter was horrifying the chicken wasn't cooked properly, the meat felt like rubber, it was over seasoned! the chicken snitzel was average, the cream spinach was bitter looked as if no cream was used. the ambiance isnt bad the lighting is beautiful, as for the service i'd say it's the better than the food they serve a lot improvement is needed here.. hopefully this would change.

been to galaxy a few times and overall it's a good restaurant. the daily specials makes this place great value for money as you can have a good steak for r99, the sauces (i've tried garlic, cheese and mushroom) are tasty and the big crispy onion rings are yummy. also tried the lamb chops which was good.

their food is absolutely amazing! most definitely worth going there, their pricing is good too, the service is very nice too. the setting is also great. worth going there.

the food was below average. nothing exciting for the price you pay. i personally won’t return to this restaurant, it was not worth it. the ambience was low, no vibe.

waiter forgot drinks, food too long and the food was average including the chicken, bacon and avocado salad. i would unfortunately not recommend this restaurant.

their pizzas are absolutely tasty... their cheesy garlic roll was terrible , the roll was stale and i couldn't chew it... their coffees are average ...

went for lunch, meals were delicous and timeous. calamari and eisbien were reasonably priced and the vegetables that accompanied were good too. service was good and atmosphere was really pleasing. highly recommended.

this is a late review, but nevertheless. had lunch here a few weeks back. we had the mussels for starters: cooked in a creamy white wine sauce. a generous portion served with delicious crispy rolls. after this, we opted for the chicken pizza, which waz well worth it for the price and had alot of chicken and topping on the pizza. i loved the classy, elegant feel of the restaurant. they tend to get quite busy as the day progresses. must go back.

pizza and mushrooms was lovely. cocktails limited but i must say very cost effective. ambience was relaxed n comfortable. in all pleasant experience. staff friendly n accommodating.

the food was great, had steaks and it was really tasteful, but the service really wasn't great. had to ask 3 times for drinks and eventually the manager brought it for us. but they've got great food and drink specials and overall it's a really nice place.

really wanted to love this place...great atmosphere...nice kids room...great specials.
the food just wasn't up to expectations.
pork ribs had that factory taste (kids liked though) ....fillet wasn't melt in your mouth and had sinew...
chicken nuggets tasted store bought.
chicken pizza was very good though...
if i could find a great menu option then it would have become a regular spot.

it was my nephew's bday and my family and i decided to have lunch at galaxy grill. the staff were really unfriendly and the food takes forever to come. there isn't any complimentary bread basket to enjoy whilst you wait. the ambience of the restaurant is really poor and the overall experience is quite disappointing. will never eat here again or recommend this place to any friends or family.

friday dinners are best with good service and good food. we were happy to receive both and left satisified. menu is fairly priced and they do have some great specials. a hidden spot in gateway with something good to give.

galaxy grill and bingo, a true grill that hidden behind those dark windows. a very quaint atmosphere with a touch of modern class. the staff are friendly and helpful.
the food is definitely value for money! they have their classic specials that include, 450g pork ribs and chips for r80, 200g steak and chips for r80, pizzas and chicken dishes at steal prices. their cool drinks and alcohol were also on special so you can get selected beers and ciders for r12. so for a little over r200 one can have a complete and filling meal including drinks.
on my first visit, my cousins steak was not done to his perfection, so to apologise for the mishap the manager gave us a complimentary strawberry cheesecake.
on my second visit, it was my birthday, so the waitress said that she had something special for everyone. after dinner, we were brought a mini cheesecake for each member at our table - a total of 10 cheesecakes - which was complimentary.
it's not very often that you come across a restaurant with friendly staff, excellent service and a welcoming and comfortable setting.
it's a pity that not many people like the franchise due to some bad service at the pavilion and galleria branch but the gateway branch is 1000000 times better!
