i didn't know there was a restaurant or a cafe on top of galata tower. so a friend of mine took me here. i must say that this restaurant has a breathtaking view of istanbul from the european side. so if you wanna come here you must reserve a table in front of the window. otherwise it doesn't make any sense. the menu is minimal with starters, salads, several kebabs, fish dishes and desserts. my friend got a oven baked manti which wasn't very different from regular manti but the taste was good and the presentation above average. i got the camlica meatballs. they weren't extraordinary. the underlay of aubergine paste was great but too little for this dish. but the presentation was great. we also got a cheese salad which was actually pretty good. the prices are a little over the regular prices but include in that the view and its understandable. we paid about 70 tl for those dishes and two drinks. on a sidenote, the waiter wasn't very friendly. he could have given us the window table but said it was reserved. no one came to take that table while we were there. so that was unpleasant.
