must try the lotus flower martini! entertaining and food good!

this is a review of a japanese steakhouse called fujisan located in the briar creek commons shopping center in raleigh, north carolina. to get there use the lumley road exit on 540. they are open for lunch monday through friday from 11 am to 2 pm and sunday from noon to 3 pm. they are not open for lunch on saturdays. they are open for dinner monday through thursday from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm and friday they are open an additional hour. saturday they are open from 3 pm to 10:30 pm and sunday from 3 pm to 9 pm. their sanitation score is currently 95.5 which is very good. we visited last saturday at 3 pm and we were their first customers. we were immediately welcomed by a friendly hostess and seated at a table. check out the rest of my review on my blog, link below.

excellent. my father came back, after being gone for a year overseas. we decided to celebrate by going to fujisan. we have been to many hibachi grills. this by far has been one of the best we have ever been to. our chef was"johnson". he was fantastic. i highly doubt his real name is johnson but he was great none the less. i highly recommend this place.

disappointing birthday dinner. unfortuately our family and friends went to fujisan for my 9 year olds birthday dinner. even though i made a reservation for 8 and specified that it was for a birthday party, we were given the new "chef". the night began with him dropping a raw egg that splattered next to another couples appetizer. they should have demanded a new one but were polite and did not. the staff and chef also refused to provide them with "white sauce" for their appetizer until it was time for the chef to pass out sauces to everyone. the chef proceeded to get the orders confused and had to leave the table several times to get more food. his knife skills were poor and i had to request knives (dull butter knives were provided) in order to cut up our steak. worst of all he was unable to perform the tricks that my child had wanted to see. our money would have been better spent elsewhere. we will not be back.

good food but .... had pretty good food (although i liked the japanese steakhouse in durham better). chef was entertaining and cooked our steaks perfectly. my boyfriend wasn't feeling well and had to leave - the staff never asked what happened - they just kept piling food up on his plate. after the chef finished cleaning the grill, the server immediately brought out our bills along w/ containers to take everything home. didn't get to finish drinking my saki. did not appreciate feeling like we were being immediately shoved out the door. this was a birthday dinner. definitely will not return.

pricey for the food quality but for what it is still tasty and our chef was very entertaining.

better hibachi. this is my family's top choice for hibachi - better meat and better preparation than the other popular hibachi restaurants in raleigh/cary (though we like those, too). a plus that they serve yakisoba noodles off the grill after the meat comes off. wish i'd had the self-control for a box, as they would have made an excellent lunch the next day!

my wife and i love fujisan. food is delicious, staff is great, had my birthday there with all my children and grandchildren, and my wife and i are going there for my birthday again this year!

if you're looking to have a fun and yummy dining experience for a large party or a smaller date vibe, i recommend fujisan japanese steakhouse for an excellent dining experience.

my husband and i love fujisan! the staff is so nice, and the food is great! we moved 30 minutes away and we still drive there, there is no comparison in raleigh. it's the best!

fujisan. food was a lot like all hibachi grills, but i did like the addition of noodles. again like all hibachi grills we were given a lot of rice which overpowers the very good vegetables.
