made a believer outta me. i like tacos but could these really be superior to anything else out there? i respect copetenn's reviews and he gives an excellent one below. i ordered basically the same ones, and like he said--these are the real deal. having lived in laredo, tx for two years, this is the flavor that i remember. they are using lemons instead of limes right now because of the price increase, but i anticipate that changing as the price of limes is dropping again.

yes, get the elote (corn in a cup). that was insanely good. you can purchase that from the person manning the cart right next to the taco window. get it with everything. for $2.50 you can't beat it.

it's easy to get to if you are coming from fort worth on i-30. take exit 44b and turn right onto riverfront blvd, which is the new name for industrial. follow it as it snakes around for about a quarter mile. fuel city is on the right.

there is plenty of parking right at the front of fuel city or park in the adjacent parking lot. it's a few more steps but you'll avoid a lot of the car and truck confusion right in front of the store. there are picnic tables on the patio, to eat your meal or use one of the tables that is on the grass behind the car wash near the parking lot where you can see the longhorns, donkeys and zebra. you will also have one of the most dramatic skyline views of dallas around! after you eat here, you can official say that you've been to dallas!

best tacos allover the metroplex. great mexican tacos, all of them. you order, then go inside to get your beverages or whatever, and when you come back, your order is ready.... even if you order 50 or more tacos (which i did, several times) no long waiting, either too crowded. unfortunately for some, they don ́t take plastic... cash only. enjoy ! ! !

i have had good authentic mexican food....this was not it. (0.5 out 5). not a fan. not sure why this place has high rating. the food here is mediocre at best. ordered several tacos and a burrito. just not good. i do know traditional mexican food, and this is close but just not good. wished i would have tried the other place i was planning to this night. this was just closer and with more reviews. this time food reviewers on yelp let me down. i would not only say don't go out of your way but stay away.

this place is connected to a gas station and from the outside does not look like the place to stop but the food was great and very cheap. food tasted amazing, was quick, and very reasonably priced.

if you’re surprised to find bomb ass tacos at a gas station, you’ve probably never been to south texas. usually the best ones are from the gas station. i couldn’t believe that as busy as this place is that they only accept cash, but that is accurate. tried the beef, chicken, pastor and picadillo. of the 4, the picadillo was the least impressive but really no complaints. good stuff!

the tacos are exactly as good as everyone says they are. just like everyone else says, don’t let the gas station location deter you. they are well worth the journey. the pastor pork tacos are the absolute best i’ve ever had.
there’s a small patio to sit on, but not much else. it seems like people order them for takeout, which seems like the way to go. 100% would go back if we’re ever in dallas again.

i read this article on matador network, and it mentioned the best food places in dallas, and i told my wife about this place, at first she didnt want to go, and we didnt, left dallas to go home, our next trip to dallas, with her brother, we did go and it was well worth it. the taco's are really good.

sept 2-4, we made another trip to dallas, this time with my in-laws and we made a trip(two) to get some tacos, and my in-laws loved it, so much we went twice, oh! dont forget just outside is a cart serving elote in a cup, again well worth it, both together is a great meal and i would advise anyone to go.

ok, its at a gas station, but dont let that throw you off, just go.

you will, and i mean will see all kinds of people, all ethics, all types....and all are there for great food...... weekends are super busy, but well worth the wait, they are pretty fast at service.

get a cold beer or cold drink inside the gas station, its nice inside too....

this will be our stop every time we go to dallas...

excellent tacos! don't be afraid that this place is in a gas station. it's my experience that the best authentic food comes from places that don't look great but are great! the service was fast also!

okay so i was a little hesitant when gas station tacos were suggested for dinner; but hey i was on vacation! i must say this was the best meal i had on my last weekend visit to dallas. these tacos are ridiculously amazing, so much so that my friend and i went back the same day for round 2!! now the only catch is you have to cash, but the street tacos are $1.64 each with your choice of flour or corn tortillas with cilantro, lime, and your choice to have your meat (chicken, fajita chicken, barbacoa, beef) cooked with onions!! they are open 24 hours daily and have other items like quesadillas and breakfast tacos. this is a must visit if you are in the dallas area.

this walk-up taco place is located in a gas station but they are so well-known in dallas. i chose the chicken taco, which was good but i think i missed the hype. it was dark and light chicken meat, tons of onions and that’s about it. but it’s a great bang for the buck at about $1.62 per taco. for a quick, cheap lunch, it will do.

the storefront of fuel city taco is located within a fairly large gas station and car wash lot, if it wasn't for the line of people you would have a hard time finding this place. they serve simple yet great tacos, burritos, and quesadillas in a street vendor kind of style. there is outdoor seating available on the side of the station but other than that you just go up to window get your tacos and get out. just to the side of the order window you'll also find two elote carts that make a nice addition to the tacos. cheap and good, what more could you ask for?

such amazing tacos! couldn't believe the place and the price! there is a cute little seating area to the side if you want to eat there and not in your car. before i have to leave dallas - i'm definitely making another trip to get these super tacos!!

great little tacos at an awesome price. when i heard it was a truck stop i imagined something different. but this place was cool. order from a window and then either eat in ur car or in the heat on a few benches. got a car wash afterwards as well. oh and they only take cash.

this place is where you go to refuel: get gas, wash your car - and eat the most delicious tacos in the most random setting. there's nothing more authentic in dallas as far as tacos are concerned - and the prices are unbelievable!
