this was my second visit to fud. we bought a sundae there a year or so ago and devoured it and felt the need to repeat that yummy experience. we entered the small restaurant with the groovy atmosphere and quickly ordered our treat. the sweet stack is a huge sundae made with cashew based ice cream and covered with all the toppings they have on their menu. the four of us split one delicious sundae and ordered some mac and cheese on the side. the mac and cheese was a delicate, subtle bowl of deliciousness. creamy, comfort food and mildly tangy. while enjoying our snack we discovered that fud offers brunch on saturday from 11 to 3. we returned and ordered three entrees to split four wa

organic and local, all-vegan restaurant...i had no idea an avocado sandwich could taste so good!! this sandwich is full of flavor, and basically amazing.

we have eaten there before and went there today, and they are close, nothing on facebook or they website except a couple of reviews indicate they are closed.   from the comments they have been closed for at least a week with nothing noted anywhere, except for one almost impossible to find entry on happy cow.  pretty sure no one that figured this out (or anyone they tell) is probably going to be going there again, i know we will not.

my friend has started a vegan diet last month so...... i suggested we try this place for lunch.  i am a diehard omnivore.  i believe everything is better with bacon.  i have changed to turkey bacon to feel less guilty.  i love cheese but it doesn't love me (lactose intolerant)!  i could turn vegan cold- turkey (pun intended!) if i could get all my füd from here!  i spoke with the owner and chef and begged her for a cookbook.  she is planning to have it ready for christmas!!  looking forward to bringing my husband here soon.  you must go there unless you have nut allergies.

absolutely amazing. we are vegan, so this was like being a kid in a candy store. the food and the service were top notch. i definitely shall return, especially for the portabella fries.

i have to say i was impressed.  who knew you could make some of your favorite meat meals from fruits and vegetables and have them taste delicious?!   füd is all about making vegan food accessible to everyone by reinterpreting american favorites into an all-veg, organic, local menu bursting with flavor. between the four of us we ordered the nachos with two types of fillings- the chkn jack (jack fruit shredded and cooked in a blend of herbs-we'll talk more about jack fruit below) & wild mild ( a mildly spiced ble

i had the pizza wrap, which was good. it was a little too oily for me though. the food was worth the drive but the cooks were in the kitchen cussing loudly for a brief period, so unfortunately i probably won't be back.

who knows what the food is like because we got up and left after waiting 15 minutes and never got water. the waitress was running around obviously saying sorry to every table because she wasn't able to keep anything straight. after watching her blunder for 15 minutes and never bringing us water...we decided (after looking around at many annoyed customers) that we would just leave. and you can forget about air conditioning. if i were you i would go to the crossroads and eat at the "other you know who" because this place is a dump without ac and incompetent service. i don't care what they are serving or how awesome the food is, if your sweating and can't even get water, leave.

use to love this place. now quite upset with their new practices. if you want an order to go not only will you have to wait 45 minutes but be prepared to pay what they call a "weekend tax" that's where they charge you the state allowed tax plus 15 percent on your total. not only was that robbery enough...raise your price if you want more money....i saw someone preparing food and eating it right on there on the food line.gross! ruined it for me.

vegan delight! came with a friend and we split the nachos, fully loaded, and the organic apple french toast. it was all fantastic! the french toast was so creamy and soft, and made with bread from a local artisan bread shop "fevere" down the block. the nachos, were savory, and stacked high on the plate, filled with spicy sauces and vegan creams. be careful eating it, as it was like playing "jenga", trying to share this... it got messy. the service was great, and the atmosphere was cozy. the only downside is the food takes a while to be cooked, as its all made from scratch, so be warned about the wait time. i'm not vegan, but after eating here, i may become one!

this was my first vegan restaurant experience (though, i've been a vegetarian for years). i was extremely impressed by this place. i ordered the sicilianizza and my mother ordered the avo-wich. the sicilianizza is great for those who love pesto and other sauces, and the avo-wich, obviously, is great for anyone who loves avocado. my mother and i also ordered the red cooler, sunny mylk, and the cashew ice cream with raw cacao syrup and blueberries. the red cooler was a highly refreshing beverage with a unique taste that made my mom want to buy a jug and bring it home. the sunny mylk is great for those who love chocolate and the subtle taste of sunflower seeds. now, the cashew ice cream was the highlight of my entire experience. when it comes to frozen desserts, i tend to prefer frozen yogurt over ice cream, so this ice cream composed of sunflower and hemp seeds (and other ingredients that i forget) was absolutely amazing to me. it was soft, creamy (but not overly creamy), light, and quite flavorful. i highly recommend fud, and especially their ice cream.

this is not the case at füd. case in point: the cheese tastes like cheese!

i realized this evening that the wait staff at a specialized restaurant work really hard, as the likelihood of having a guest with multiple dietary restrictions, medically necessitated or not, is greater than a chain restaurant in the suburbs. the ease with which this is handled at fud is surely part of why i enjoy going there for an indulgent dinner on a weeknight.

when the shake arrived, i knew my husband was going to have less of that shake than he’d initially hoped. he took one sip and joy spread across his face.
