we turned up on a quiet sunday for the express lunch. our server seemed new but was eager and helpful. we received warm bread and delicious smoked whipped butter to start, perfect on a wintery day. the express lunch comes with set entree and dessert along with a choice of main. unusually all three courses arrived together. the starter ceviche tasted fresh, with a hint of chilli. i ordered the lamb with jerusalem artichoke puree and carrots which was very tasty, my only criticism was that the meat could have been a little hotter. perhaps this was not helped by the food all arriving at once? the rest of the group had the beef, fish of the day, and the pork loin which were all nicely cooked. a raspberry mousse with meringues was a light sweet to finish the meal. good food, good service, excellent value, a nice maritime outlook
