this is easily one of the most underrated sushi spots in denver. i remember frequenting a lot in 2001-2002, then it went down hill for a while. i've been coming back recently and they haven't disappointed. the decor is a bit drab and run-down looking, but don't let that fool you. as a long-standing hole-in-the wall sushi joint, it's a best kept secret as of late.

go with their recommendation on what's fresh and on special. diablo roll is buttery is a favorite!

$1 nigiri pieces and 2 for 1 beers...
just wonderful owners in a humble setting doing their thing

freshest fish i have had. this is the best sushi restaurant in denver. it is not crowded so you don't need a reservation. also, it is very reasonably priced.

excellent sushi. this is one of the best sushi places in town. ask for the special items not listed on the regular menu, you won't be disappointed.

great sushi at a great economical price. been to fontana sushi about a couple months ago for the first time. the staff was super friendly and the food was a bit average. sushi pieces were a bit smaller then most sushi restaurants i have been to. went back the other night and our experience was fantastic. the staff was super friendly as usual, very attentive and smiley. ordered many pieces off the sushi menu for $1.00 a piece. the fish and rice tasted great, and the size of these pieces were much bigger (yay!).
ordered enough sushi for 2 to fill us up and the bill, to our surprise was only $32. would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone. especially anyone looking for a quality economical spend.

of all my cruddy culinary habits, & i've got a lot of 'em, ordering sushi in is surely one of the worst. it flies in the face of the whole extraordinary tradition: of engagement with the itamae, of spontaneityâ€"choosing items per his (occasionally her)

great place. fontana sushi provides a quiet atmosphere, perfect for a romantic date. the sushi and seafood teriyaki were both very good. great value for the price.
