good thai food. great service! the food was good and fresh. not the best i've had in my life but still very good. had the chicken coconut soup enjoyed very much (loved the broth and the vegetables were very fresh.) the drunken noodles were good. the chicken dumplings (fried) i didn't really care for, without the dipping sauce it wasn't good, i shouldn't have to rely on the sauce. the banana coconut sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves dessert was interesting. i've never heard or seen anything like this but it was a good interesting. i would get it again. overall nice cozy place with good food and good service.

do not order delievery from this place!!. i ordered food and waited nearly an hour and a half, then they tell me he came and i wasn't home??
meanwhile im watching this dude from my window. i call the restaurant they say i wasn't home and they had to throw away the food i can see this dude from my window (and he's still holding my food)!! everyone says the food is great really??? the service is shi*!! do not get delievery from here.

so, the food we had last time was quite good – everything – from the appetizers to the noodles to the curries.

great thai food would go back

this is going to be a love fest right from the very beginning. "5 star thai cuisine" surely gets a 5 star rating in my book. established in 2009 it's the first thai restaurant in union city, new jersey. it's a nice change to the dozens of cuban restaurants that can be found in it's surroundings. i have been coming to this restaurant for a year or so now and it only gets better and better each time i walk through the their doors. they do have a busy take out business, but you should visit this dynamo of a restaurant in person. the atmosphere is inviting with dark woods for the furniture and warm reds and oranges for the walls, it's a very cozy place. the service is so amazing. usually handled by one host/server "thai" who is on top of his duties. never have to wait more than a few minutes for anything. fantastic thai iced tea & coffee for $2.95 each and the best lychee thai iced tea this side of the hudson also for $2.95 filled with real lychee's. i was flying solo tonight and had a hea

i'm a thai person who came to visit new york for renewing my passport and i found this restaurant from internet. i was quite skeptical on the review from my past experience, i normally feel disappointed with too adapted version of thai food. however, i went there to give a try.

we ordered mixed app. 3 (2 curry puffs, 2 fish cakes & 2 crispy corns), sticky rice & papaya salad, lemongrass crispy fillet tilapia and fried banana with ice cream. the food tasted so delicious and i couldn't believe they used authentic thai herbs and ingredients in all dishes. this place truly reminded me of my mother's food, it give you the feeling like you are in thailand.

we liked this place very much and went back again the following night to have more good food. we had thai sausage, crying tiger, jungle curry and sticky rice with mango for dessert. my husband really like crying tiger, sticky rice with mango very much. i enjoyed everything we had there.

the service is good, the location and atmosphere is not amazing but it is ok. however, the food is really great and reasonably priced. i can guarantee that you pay for good food not something else (location, atmosphere or reputation).

if you are looking for an authentic thai restaurant in ny, i highly recommend you to go to five stars thai cuisine.

my wife and i have been here several times trying different stuffs and here what we have to say: there is nothing in the menu that is 'ok'....everything is hilarious!!! excellent food!!! 5 stars indeed!!

excellent!!! so fresh, so organic, so tasteful!! i recommend 5 stars thai as the best thai food restaurant in ny-nj area i have ever been. by the way, i love the thai ice coffee!!! you won't regret! guaranteed

fantastic thai food.. i was so relieved when i found 5 stars thai after trying to find a good thai restaurant and was constantly disappointed.
i honestly can't find a reason to not love this place. the staff are very sweet and patient (especially with my 12 yr old sister-in-law who had never eaten thai before and wasn't sure what to order), the food is fresh and traditional and the restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy.

the chicken satay and curry puffs are great appetisers, the cashew nut chicken is a great main meal and the crispy bananas with coconut ice cream for dessert are fantastic!
