amazing food. i'm a big fan of clam chowder, and i can tell you i had many different ones, but this is the place, the real one. also, every other dishes are very good. please don't expect a high class restaurant this is a you order over the counter and find a table, but it's worth to go, and on top the owners are great and very friendly people.

the grilled salmon plate is highly addictive. i want it all the time. the salmon is the best i have ever tasted in any restaurant and the coleslaw, with the pineapple in it, is out of this world. and their brown rice has just the right crunchiness. in short: this plate is perfection! i can't get enough of it and since i can't go out and they don't deliver i will just have to do without and drool in my dishes just thinking about. staff is terrific too! friendly and upbeat and a pleasure to deal wwith.

great quick lunch for fresh grilled or fried seafood. we stopped here after a whale watching excursion and it hit the spot!! order at the counter and they bring to the table.

excellent fresh grilled halibut bowl. wow huge portions too. i noticed all chefs wearing hats i liked that a lot. i have had sum problems with sea fresh not the best service and had sum bad experiences. fishermans catch is solid👍👍now my go to seafood spot😊

fish & chips in oxnard, california. overlooking the marina in oxnard is fishermen's catch. it is a large restaurant with some outdoor seating. in the front of the building you can purchase fresh seafood to take home. we ordered at the counter and enjoyed our fish and chips. i have had better and would order something else had i to do it over. it was just too much fried food. the side of slaw was delicious with the surprise of bits of pineapple. after lunch we enjoyed walking around the marina. it was a pleasant experience.

all the food was great!!! i had the salmon tacos... it was awesome! the place had feel to it as well!

this place is awesome! i've been looking for a good seafood spot and this is it. the price is unbelievabley reasonable, the food is tasty fresh, large portions. i would recommend this place to anyone who likes seafood and who's tired of living so close to the beach, feeling they don't the freshness they deserve. the decor is very laid sandals n shorts type.

market/cafe. wednesday lunch, each had the "fresh" fish plate; two sides and the fish: halibut $18.95, california sea bass $16.95. we both had the same two sides; fries and cole slaw. the fries are coated [paprika?] and the slaw has hunks of pineapple - both tasty. we shared the two grilled fish and both were a little on the dry side, but still well within tolerance. since i had a glass of wine, we could not be served outside, but we had a window table with a view of the courtyard. you pass by the raw fish display on entering to stop at a small counter where you order and pay. they give you a number and the food is brought to your table. the table has catsup, hot sauce, salt and pepper; you get your own plastic knife and fork. the "plate of fish" comes on a styrofoam segmented plate; each segment having the three items you ordered. according to the lady taking our money, the fish is locally caught by her husband now out on his boat and her son out on his; father-in-law [87 year old former fisherman] has retired but still work at the market/restaurant.
not the best fish ever, but good enough to want to come back.

there is something special about eating a fish dinner at a seafood restaurant and watching the days catch get unloaded in front of you. i ordered the grilled halibut with brown rice and their mixed vegetables (to hope to balance my diet some). i also ventured a piece of fried fish as an accompanyment...gotta javesomething fried no? the lady at the counter helped make my selection (yes, you order at the counter then they bring it to you) and she seemed genuinely interested in making sure i ate well (especially when i announced i was from the other coast). the grillwd halibut was well prepared not overcooked and not over seasoned. the mild flavor really came through nicely (i'll order that again). the fried fish was equally tasty with a nice crunch and a flakey center. not too greasy either. the atmosphere is bare but nice. stained concrete floors. wood planking on the walls and fisherman decor..all tasteful without shouting "hey look, i am a seafood place!

if you like seafood, there is no reason you won't like it here. they earned the right for me to say that i'd come here again...in fact maybe even tomorrow evening. check that...i went back and ordered half dozen fried shrimp (if i didnt exercise i'd be as big as a house --i run because i love to eat.) panko breaded and yum! well worth the ridicule i might get for eating more. you know how deep fried shrimp looses the shrimp flavor? not here. they must have magicians in the kitchen. you'll enjoy your meal or either i dont know food or they're having a bad day. eat like its your last meal, exercise because you want more

fisherman's catch looks like fast food from the outside. it's in a large shopping center with a vons at the other end. however, when you walk in, you immediately know they mean business.
just inside the door is a fresh fish market to rival any in town, with all of the day's catch on display.
they have a great selection of seafood and great fish and chips.

wow. what good, fresh seafood. we were visiting from dallas and read the great reviews on here. we went there tonight and were blown away by the fresh seafood. calamari, sea bass, etc is all caught by the owner and son. the prices are great and the sea bass is amazing. i have never had calamari as fresh as i had tonight. we will go back tomorrow also. definitely give it a shot.

great little hidden place not too far from the harbor. the workers like to chat with you while you wait for your meal. not too expensive, and a lot of the fish is locally caught, the halibut is great. i'm waiting on a plate of swordfish, and a sample of the norweigan cod, i'm sure they'll both be fantastic !

wow. we loved it. the seabees was the best we ever had. don't miss the clam chowder and the crab cakes!

great find about a half mile from the water in oxnard. lots of fresh fish; the owner still spends some time on his own boat bringing new stuff in. had the grilled sea bass, halibut fish and chips, and rock crab. all local, and all really, really good. prices are great. owners are real personable and like to talk if it's not busy. crabs can be popular so come earlier (eg. lunch) if that's what you're looking for. highly recommended.

irv & nancy. this is a great little place no frills great food at great prices we are older and get around and this is the place. we do 2 to 3 times a week i get fish and chips and my wife just looks at the fresh fish.
