me and a friend dined here friday at lunch. the best way to describe our experience was extremely bad service. the waiter was very inattentive. i might as well have served myself. i was never told what the specials were. i only found out that they had specials by walking by the wall where they were written, on my way to the washroom. we were not asked if we wanted cheese or pepper on our meals. we were never asked how our meals were. my friend did not finish her meal and was never asked if she wanted to take the rest home. it was just whisked away and it felt like we were not wanted being there. we were never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. how does this guy get a job as a waiter? who hired him?

although our meals were tasty, we left absolutely disgusted and the service ruined our day.

girls night out! that being said, we wanted some hearty, not to mention tasty, food before our evening out. we were all running a little late, but they held our reservation. i arrived first; our table was at the back and ready. not a large restaurant as it used to be a home. it's not crowded by any means. classic features and comfortable chairs. so far, so good.

toronto's best italian restaurant! the food and service is excellent.

lovely northern italian dining. this place seems to be popular amongst canadian politicians and law-makers, and for good reason- it's delicious! i come here whenever i really want an italian treat.

i love their vongole pasta! do keep in mind that the food is big in portion but i guess that's italian food for you. i recommend making reservation since it can get quite packed for dinner time and i will definitely be back to try some other items off from their menu.

rip off!!. very expensive and the food is not great! there are way better italian restaurants in toronto!! what a huge disappointment! will not go back!

good dining. a very attentive dining experiance, try their excellent home made meatballs.

excellent meal at fieramosca. we enjoyed a wonderful meal at fieramosca. we were celebrating my son's birthday and the staff made the evening that much special. we all had a pasta entree and all of them were excellent. service was very friendly and attentive. we have often visited the terra cotta inn and never been disappointed. keep up the good work mario!

would have been really awesome but the waiter was realllllyy touchy feelllyyy. pasta is good. deserts were not attractive.

great neighbourhood resto. warm and friendly and always bustling with regulars. the food is consistantly very good. my favourite is the grilled fish with veg. as good as joso's and not as pricey. they will also accomodate any requests if you prefer your pasta done differently than what is on the menu. we go there often and always leave with a smile on our faces.

nightmare at fieramosca!. my recent experience at this restaurant was not pleasant at all. my friends wanted to take me out for a nice dinner for my birthday so they have made reservation there as the restaurant is highly recommended by others. to summarize, after 15 mins of sitting down, i pretty much wanted to get the heck out of there. the following is a summary of the nightmare at fieramosca

the restaurant was way over packed and noisy. we pretty much had to yell at each other in order to have a conversation. for a fine dining restaurant, it is not very classy dressing up to the nines yelling and eating. if they were over-booked that night, i prefer they did not take our reservation at all.

the service was horrible. the waitress was obviously drunk. she was all over the place and spoke inappropriately. there is a difference between being friendly and inappropriate - she had indeed crossed the line. plus, we ordered appetizers with her and for whatever reasons (her being drunk, lost of memory, unattentive, or the place was too loud for her to hear us), she totally forgot all of our appetizers. for a fine dining restaurant in yorkville, i would assume that they can afford pen and paper for their staff to write on or hire staff who are smart enough to repeat the orders (if she can't hear).

the restroom was inappropriately placed. what kind of a fine dining restaurant would have their restrooms right where all the food are being placed and waiting to be served. that's kind of disgusting once you think about it.

food was mediocre period. if you want fresh fish, i suggest another restaurant called "chiado restaurant" on college street - they don't have drunk servers serving their customers.

overall, the experience was horrible and to dine at a restaurant that you just want to eat quickly and leave so you can retain your sanity just suck.
