was such a nice place at one stage such a pity the service has gone for a ball of shit don’t think i’ll be back here in a hurry after tonight … ok so credit given where credit due … lady serving us refused to let us pay for the first 2 cokes because of the service issue so we went back in and enjoyed a nice dinner and many drinks so service improved big ups on her she saved the night

first time at ferreira’s. very vibey and everyone was having an amazing time with drinks. we ordered the trinchado and wow it was filled with flavor and massive portions. slightly pricey for a pub style venue but still great.

they use to have good food but now, terrible food and manager was rude after we complained about a hair being in our food. he didn’t take responsibility and we still paid full price. i will never go back again. and i don’t recommend anyone going there to eat.

great for enjoying the pool tables , while i wouldn’t recommend the food it is a nice place to be. the chips are great and service is perfect .

definitely a must try. platter for one is amazing. chicken snitchzels are amazing. basically all their food is great. they have great specials and great prices. car wash while you enjoy a lovely meal and a drink. the waiters are a bit slow and takes a while before you get served but the food definitely makes up for it.

i had onion rings, calamari and fries. it was a lot of food for the money. tasted fantastic.
service was very good. waiters do not come and bother you but are always visible just incase you need something.

leaving now, no service. no one to call... bit bad for place this size. will never see me again. cant comment on food or anything never managed to get anyone's attention. wont recommend them

no no smoking area. when asked the owner said that i can move and clean an area for non smokers. my friends and i will never go there again.

has a great vibe and excellent food, value for your money, very neat and clean. great service. friendly staff. would definitely go there again.

02.10.2016 a foodie friend has been telling me about this place and i decided to give it a go. it's got a great concept where they have a car wash at the back so you can eat and chill while waiting for your car to be cleaned. it's a massive premises, a lot bigger than i expected. it has the front section near the bar then various other sections and the "outside" facing the car wash and some outside areas. there is also numerous tv's for the sport fanatics to keep an eye as well as a pool table.

they have a good variety of food on the menu and we opted for takeaways (as usual) and ordered a full peri chicken and the ferreiras platter. staff were friendly and they didn't take long with our order.

i enjoyed the food and the platter was packed so nicely. the crumbed mushrooms were a winner, their pork ribs were soft and had a great basting. i'd go back for those. the chicken and beef strips were also tender, the chorizo was on the chewy side, the peri livers had a divine sauce to it and the chips needed to be fried more. the milhofrito sadly was the only thing we all didn't like.

the peri chicken was cooked well and had a good bite as we ordered hot but it needed more sauce. we also got sufficent dipping sauces with the platter.

my only gripe that would put me off sitting there is the volume of the music. we sat in the front by the entrance and had to scream to hear one another. i don't know how those that sat outside where the music was belting out from were able to eat or have a conversation.

otherwise i'd say good value for money. they do a braai on a sunday eat as much as you can for r89 which is not bad.
and for those looking for some entertainment they have a singing competition going at the moment.

i drive past ferreira's daily and have often thought of popping in for a meal. so i finally took the plunge and wandered in for a look.

getting in and out of ferreira's is a challenge due to the busy main road but once in there is ample safe parking.

i must admit i was a bit worried going in woman alone but was warmly greeted and seated without drawing too much attention to myself!

i ordered a rock shandy and took a minute to view my surroundings - lots of variety. the restaurant sprawls over a very large area and is informally divided into sections - rowdy youngsters on the patio with music blaring; a "quieter" bar area with dimmer lighting, a bigger sports bar enclosure complete with tv's, pool table, stage and dance floor...at some part of the evening we were pleasantly entertained by a steve hofmeyer sounding singer who could definitely sing! around the back a lovely paved outdoor patio area for bigger groups. after a bit of shuffling around i settled on the little bar with dim lighting! it was also less noisy 😉

i ordered the spicy chicken livers as a starter and was very happy with the rich, creamy sauce and beautifully cooked livers. halfway through my starter a friend arrived to join me - we shared my starter - he thought too much garlic and i explained that one can never have too much garlic - they were perfect! we were so enthralled i forgot to take a picture - will have to pop in for a picture soon...

for mains i ordered the chicken schnitzel with a portion of fried pap and pumpkin with cheese sauce on the side and my friend ordered the beef prego roll.

the portion sizes were big and the meals arrived hot and at the same time. the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with a delicious cheese sauce on the side - i used the sauce to dip my fried pap in and it was delicious! my pumpkin was tasty and i hoovered up my meal in a jiffy. my friend declared his prego roll to be delicious and the meat tender. the accompanying chips were hot and crispy and i stole a few when he was not looking 👀

the dessert menu was limited to malva pudding or ice cream and not being a fan of malva we decided to forgo dessert.

overall a very pleasant food experience and very good value for money r246 for both of us.

ferreira's has a great big noisy vibe and is not for the faint hearted....great food with lots of variety - their specialty bring chicken and prawns, attentive service and happy staff. well worth a visit or two.

i have now become a regular and have sampled more of the menu. they have also added pizzas to their menu and there is a nice selection available - will try one soon. the grilled chicken is a good option as is the sunday "eat as much as you want " braai.

i do need to revise my score downwards though - in terms of food it remains good however the service is sorely lacking at this stage. so if fast and efficient service is a priority give it a miss but if you don't mind waiting and having some good food - give them a try.

popped in to try their pizza offering. ordered a spicy chicken pizza which was indicated as hot on the menu. definitely lived up to the label. the topping was tasty and spicy. the pizza base was thin albeit a little soggy - a few more minutes in the oven perhaps? overall a good pizza. will definitely be back for more.

i have decided to up my score - it is after all about the food; and the food is faultless! crumbed mushroom starter - hot, delicious, crumbed and fried to perfection. good portion sizes - enough for two.....service tonight was good as well. ferreira's is slowly taking shape under the new management and offers great value for money meals in a safe environment.

great sports bar with very good food and a cool place to see the planes approach or tambo. we had excellent kingklip and calamari. prices are also good, even better than what you get for your money in centurion!
