fado has become a go to spot for a friday/saturday night in center city. when i'm not getting whitegurlwasted on friday or saturday, i also enjoy their hummus and boxty (weird combo but it works).

great food and service. my girlfriend and i were traveling in philly and happened apon this place. the. the food was very good and the waitor was very helpful with any questions we had about what to see. gave us some recommendations on food and places to see. both of which turned out great.

great place to chill out and grab an inexpensive bite to eat. authentic irish choices and some go-to american grub. service is fine, not great, but it's kind of what you should expect at this type of place.

this place is lots of fun. the irish dishes are inspired and authentic, the non-irish dishes are just as good. been there for step dancers who are great too!

my first time at fado was after my college graduation. my dad took everyone out for irish coffee after, and i have never had a better one! every irish pub claims to have a great irish coffee, but if you want the real deal, this place has it! the food is pretty amazing too.

a must!. my husband & i stayed in philly for two nights for the u2 concert. we had dinner on the first night where we had to take a table outside because the inside was jammed pack.(always a good sign) our waiter, ian, was terrific! very personable & right on top of everything. the bangers & mash were excellent. we returned thursday night after the concert for drinks and had two wonderful female bartenders.(sorry, i didn't get their names) we so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. we will be back!

i've tried fado a few times now and while you can be sure to catch a soccer game here, the service is horrible. if you're there for center city sips, make that clear to the bartender or you will be in for a rude financial awakening.

boxty rocks!. i love this place! many great memories. a great atmosphere. if you go, get a boxty. you will not be disappointed. i miss it!

food & footie. great place to grab a hearty breakfast and watch live english soccer on the weekends. while most of the city is still sleeping off their hangovers, this pub is filling up with thirsty football supporters, all glued to the telly. it's a great atmosphere and a nice way to start the day.
