i tried esmer again during the new year holiday. i was a little disappointed. the place is still pleasant with friendly staff no matter how crowded. this time we only ordered the tortellini funghi pastaandpepperoni pizza. the cream was a bit salty for me, but overall the pasta tasted good. as for the pizza, i still love the crust. but the pepperoni was unappetizing.

during my five day stay in istanbul, i ate at esmer 4 times. basically it was the only place i tried there where everything was as i hoped. friendly staff, delicious food, cozy place ,andreally good prices.
lazanya bologneseandravioli spinach are to die for. mexica pizza was flavorsome. i tried the desserts as well (tiramisu, creme bruleeandcheese cake). they were equally tasteful. one platter i wasn't a fan of was the chicken panzerotti. the crust was a bit too dry for me. however this restaurant was one of the highlights of my stay. recommended.

cozzy italian restaurant in istiklal,taksim. the staff were friendlyandhelpful they adviced us to try good plates of theirs, the food was good! i personally loved their fettuccine con pollo, it's a must try!

cozyandnice, id travel the world just to come here. the portion is very well selected, the moodandthe music are very chill. the waiters are very niceandspeak english unlike some other restaurants.

best place to eat pasta for pasta lovers.
i visited the place twice in 2 days.
the tricolor tortellini is to die for, salads are refreshing. huge portionsandvery good pricing. you need to wait a little bit to find a seat but it is worth it. i tried tricolor tortelliniandfettuccine alfredo they are amazing. pesto ravioli is an amazing choice.
fries are so good you will not stop eating.
great staffandthey are so friendly. a must try place.

food looks good, but the service was non-existent.

went here for breakfastandcoffee. we were seated outside,andwe satandwaited for someone to come to us to take our order. we were moved to another seat 5 minutes later,andignored for another 10 minutes. i don't actually know if it's self service or notbin the morning - but they had a waiter who spoke englishandhe made no initiative to explain the concept or give us a menu.


so far this has been my worst experience in istanbul ever. we left after sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come up to usandchose another place to spend our time in.

so yummmie! went twice during our stay in istanbul! we tried seafood pasta, seafood pizza, fettucine salmonandpanzone verdura!!!! all was yummie!

very tasty food, the pastaandthe dessert are very tasty. i recommend it. very professional staffandvery affordable price to dine or to have lunch.

great,small,andcozy place in istiklal street. the food is to die for. the chicken fettucine was deliciousss. however, the staff are a bit rude.definitely recommended!!!

the menu has a wide variety between italianandlocal cuisine . must try the gnocchiandal pollo pizza ?

right off taksim square. this place serves up authentic italian food at great prices. we ended up having the margherita pizzaandtri color tortellini with a couple of cold drinksandit set us back about 75 lira. not a bad deal at all. portion sizes are generous. do check it out when in istanbul.

a place in the middle of istiklal street. tasty food, loved their caesar pizzaandpasta, but the place tends to get overcrowdedandthe service slows down. prices are fair.

located right of istiklal street, this place serves up yummy italian food. we had the spaghetti with beefanda grilled chicken dish. both were really good especially the spaghetti which was just spectacular. the pasta was freshandthe sauce was delicious. the chicken was cooked wellandthe fries they served with that were yummyandhad a delicious spice mix on it. 

all in all a good experience.

good pastaandgood salads... not so good on the barbecue specially the chicken which was very dry!
overall experience was not bad but not great...

i am a pasta loverandi enjoyed every bite to the max.
the place is so cosyandthe ambience is amazing especially with the live cooking.
it is really a must try for all istanbul visitors ?
