enza's italian restaurant

absolutely amazing!. if you're ever in jacksonville, you have to go to enza's! the food is to die for.. service is wonderful.. nice atmosphere.. enza's is definitely of my favorite restaurants!

enza's made this place so special!. well we had dinner last weekend, we ate like queens! i went with my mother and this is the best italian restaurant not only in jacksonville in the whole florida! we love good food, and the most important we love good service!
there we met a very handsome italian young man, impossible to forget him, his name is enzo, he was our server this night and he just made my night so wonderful, impressive his huge knowledge to recommended me the best for dinner and wines, i love this place and i will come back just because him! you can ask for him too, i am not too jealous ;-)
get the scallops are unbelievable delicious!

excellent!!!. i travel to jacksonville each week for work. a couple of weekends ago, my wife traveled to me on the weekend instead of the other way around. my project manager recommended enza's so we decided to give it a try. wow! am i glad we did!!!

we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. i could have eaten several orders of this and made it a meal! unbelievable creaminess, the freshness of the tomatoes and spices, to go along with the satisfying crunch of the homemade bread. it was wonderful.

my wife got the chicken parm and i got the meatballs and sausage over angel hair pasta. both were exceptional. huge portions. cooked to perfection.

we shared a cannoli for dessert. it was ok but not great. it was our first time having a cannoli so it could have been a perfect one and we just were ok with it but not blown away.

overall...this is a must go for italian foodies coming to jacksonville area! you will not be disappointed.

poor service raw food. we usually have good experience but at the party for a 77 yr old we had poor service, raw grouper, cold osso bucco, had to beg for noodles with sauce for a 2 yr old! no consideration from owner, not impressed, i think they are getting too big for themselves. restaurants come and go, remember customers matter

this is some of the best italian food in jacksonville. the service is above and beyond. everyone should try.

i went there last night with my date and we choose the side of the restaurant with the piano. the other side had clangy dishes sounds. the food was most excellent and the piano man was awesome... he played titantic soundtrack, phantom of the opera, etc . it was very rimantic. great ambience. wine per glass can be expensive... go for the bottle. 5stars from me.

dover sole rocks !. enza's is one of those rare chef run restaurants where the chef is on hand to insure the food quality. we have gone here for several years and have found a couple of menu favorites. any time they have the dover sole, we get it francese style and love it. i am not a fan of fish, but i love this meal. the other item i love is the gnocchi with the carbonara sauce. enza's is always busy, so we try to go early. the piano player in the bar is a nice addition.

enza's...great italian food.... i was very surprised by the quality of food, ambiance and service i received when i dined at enza's a couple of nights ago. when you first pull up to the restaurant, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you walk in, it has a great decor. the food was outstanding!!! nice sized entrees, and the garlic bread and salad was on point. this is a definite 9/10 in my book!! great place, and very romantic.

amazing!. this is the first review i've written on urbanspoon. we've lived in the jacksonville area for over 8 years and we never found really great italian food, like we're used to being from the western ny area originally. that was until tonight. omg, we absolutely loved the food. i had the lasagna and my wife ordered the chicken frances. the lasagna was soooo good, the red sauce had such a good sweet flavor i almost asked for a side of it just to use to dip the garlic bread in. my wife actually received veal frances by mistake, but she absolutely loved it. so she got to enjoy the veal for the price of the chicken, bonus. for dessert she had some tiramisu and loved that as well. this is by far the best italian restaurant we've been to in jacksonville and anywhere thus far in fl as well! we will be back very soon!

too many restaurants in jacksonville fail this simple thing!

food was excellent, in a party of seven, all entrees & appetizers were tasy, well prepared & generous. a number of entrees are pretty unique to this restaurant.
service was courteous, prompt and everyone's order was received exactly as ordered - even with individual "tweaks" as requested without any hiccup (!)
atmospere is a little "busy" and hectic but no worse than others such as bonefish.

great food/destination. great food (get the cheese cake too!) , enza and the staff are very warm/professional , great people, great live music from piano/sax duo , the groov.........

why enza's - one word passion. food cooked from the heart that has soul. people who care about their business and it shows in what they do. an owner who will walk the floor and ask if your meal was pleasing, do you need anything else (a dying trait in this industry) family who work together from the front of the house to the back of the house - why is enza's successful because they care - you can see this in the "it will be a 20 minute wait or more" and its well worth it - our meals consistently keep us coming back. may establishments like enza's continue to flourish and prosper in our community. oh, and the earlier comment about phil - yes, he's passionate and "your" experience might not have been a stellar one - however, dissing someone because they tried to up sell you on a wine or dissing someone because they didn't pronounce something correctly and putting it on urbanspoon - shameful.

the worst chicken piccata i've ever had. the server never mentioned any specials. the chef came out & instead of apologizing & offering to comp an uneaten dinner, she said no one ever complains about her piccata. very disappointing dinner.

had dinner here thursday night.. gotta say the food was amazing!! we had a decent size party and didst wait long for food service, we had the best waiter, phil. so knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. the live piano player was a welcomed change to muzak!! a must try: the tiramisu and seafood lasagna

great restaurant. as a "regular" at enza's i was very surpised by bj's review on 6/20/2011. we have dinner there at least once a week for the last couple of years.. i am only sorry i waited so long to start. we find the portions generous and the food is the best!!. the wines selection is superior to most in this area. the house wines are very good too. and phil is our favorite server. he makes us feel welcome. he is always ready to make suggestions to make our dining experience special. but he is just one example of the great service you will find from enza's wait staff. we usually try to eat in the bar side so that we can enjoy the live music there. and the ladies behind the bar will make you welcome. if i am alone i usually choose to eat at the bar as do many of the 'regulars'. enza & mike want everyone to have a wonderful & relaxing dining experience at their place. i know i always do.
