yikes. i've lived within 8 miles of this place for 19 years so i figured it was high time i should go see what all this baked stuffed lobster praise was all about. absolutely awful. 45 min to get our calamari appetizer and before we had a chance to finish, our 2 baked stuffed lobsters arrive. now, i do know my lobsters, and the portions were good, but the breading was full of sugar. for that matter, the fociccia bread was full of sugar as well. the broccoli surved was raw, the dungeness potatos were made with flour, all and all it was bad diner food at 4 star prices. not going back.

terrible. if you want to go somewhere with terrible service, subpar food then this is the place for you! banquet food is awful! chicken is usually undercooked, the primerib is still practically mooing and the soup is reused and resold after its already been in the room! eww. the servers seem to have no idea what they are doing, and it seems a bit chaotic. whos running this dump? if you want to spend a huge amount of money on less than stellar everything then go ahead. had a few holidays there i.e. (easter, thanksgiving, mothersday) biggest waste of money for somthing i should have just cooked myself. almost 30 bucks a plate for again, bland tasteless food. deserts are god awful and the turkey and mashed potatoes arent even that good considering its instant mash. overall this is an awful place. i know serveral people who have had weddings here and such, they said it was awful and now book parties elsewhere for cheaper and better overall satisfaction. dont even card for liquor, thats a recipe for disaster...

the empire grill in swansea, massachusetts is located inside the venus de milo restaurant and banquet facility, which is a popular location for wedding receptions, sports banquets, family gatherings, and more. the grand look from the outside invites you to come in. we drove by this restaurant several times before finally deciding to check it out. food we decided to check out the empire grill on a friday night (tuesday-friday nights from 4:00-9:00pm they offer 1/2 priced appetizers at the bar) because as a vegetarian this was the best option for me (no point visiting during dinner if i can't eat anything right?) all of the entrees are meat-based, so i was looking forward to trying out soup and a few appetizers. i ordered minestrone soup - when

the greek themed decor including the mythological murals were very nice. however, the restaurant did seem to be catered to an older crowd (i didn’t notice any younger diners). the bar area was completely empty on a friday night, which was pretty strange. drinks were very expensive ($6 for a draft beer). i ordered a bowl of minestrone soup and had to send it back – who puts meat in minestrone?! i have never seen this before! we ordered a few other appetizers including: mozzarella sticks (too dried out), margherita pizza (very good), salads (nothing special), buffalo wings (boyfriend like them), and clam chowder soup (boyfriend though it was pretty good).
