em on's thai café

meh. naples has terrible thai food in general. this place was ok, but nothing compared to the real thing. pad thai was subpar, crab rangoon was grease...and floppy. just a typical naples experience.

having a desire for something asian, a friend and i stopped by em on's thai café one evening. the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere inside is inviting. seating is comfortable, and the bathrooms looked pretty clean.

we started with a basic appetizer - the crispy spring rolls. these were as expected, yet the surprise was a very tasty plum sauce. this was a change from a usual mustard or soy-type sauce.

my main meal was a tough decision, but eventually i chose from the house specialty dishes menu. the house special delight is a big winner as far as taste and quality. it is shrimp and chicken sautéed with a "special" special sauce. it also has bamboo shoots, mushrooms, baby corns, and snow peas all mixed in. very, very fresh.

i tried the sing ha beer, which was ok. i had never experienced a thai beer before, but it was an authentic companion to the cuisine.

i continue to get take out whenever i am in naples.  my go to favorites remain the pineapple fried rice (with whatever meat you'd like) and the chicken satay.

peanut sauce...oh the peanut sauce!. we tried the chicken satay, sizzling chicken platter and pineapple fried rice with pork. everything was tasty! i would not hesitate to return and try other dishes!

em-on's thai cafe is in the green tree center in naples, fl. it is located on the southwest corner of airport-pulling and immokalee roads. em-on's has had the same owner and has been in the center for 20 years. in my book, this is a very good sign. the dining area is very accommodating, with your choice of booths or tables. they have a great lunch special, which runs from 11-3 every day for $8.99. you will get a nice bowl of soup, a spring roll and an entree with white rice. here is the menu. i apologize for the quality of the initial photo, but you can't be 100% all the time!

too salty. i just order boneless chicken wings and rice noodle soup to go ...they neither give me a napkin nor spoon ...no folk ... no chopstick .....the chicken wings is not bad ...but the rice noodle soup is to salty that i could not eat ... i put it in the trash.....

i call the restaurant and let them know....they say come back to the restaurant for exchange another rice noodle soup ... i am not happy because they make me go another trip .... my time and my gas ..... i don't like it....it is not worth for me to go back ther for another bowl of rice noodle soup

great thai food. curry & spicy noodle salad are favorites. ambiance is simple and clean. good service too.

the food was excellent, however it was too expensive for the amount served.

just went there for lunch yesterday. the lunch house special with chicken snowpeas and peppers tasted awesome with really nice flavors. i eat thai all over the world, and this place is really good

best thai food ever!!!. this is the place to go to have authentic thai food. the chef is from thailand and is fantastic. when we order food they prepare it as spicy or not as spicy as we like it for each person at the table. the presentation is also beautiful.
