this is our third visit to the location and all have been not so pleasant.

we were looking forward to a nice meal with a bottle of wine and assumed we could count on earls.

they seated us and forgot us! others that came in after us were being served.... finally after looking at different servers like we were puzzled someone came over. (the server said that they had no one assigned to this section and they didn't know what was going on but now we have her to ourselves so it's all good.

we order drinks and appies. my husband tries a taste of a beer, i asked about a bottle of wine and she says sure she comes back with the sample of beer and a wine glass and said they are working on the wine. my husband gets his pint and i wait, then he orders a ceasar and i'm still waiting. i asked i still have wine coming right she says yeah they are still waiting on the wine. our appies arrived and i still have no wine until half way through our appies and she brings out a huge jug of wine. i question it as i want to bring some back to our hotel room after dinner and said i ordered a bottle of wine not a jug. she said i will go talk to the manager. so i still don't have a drink. when she returns i had no clue what her options were she was offering us. she says to us the manager says sorry and how much wine will you be drinking. we say no idea depends on the meal and how much we fancy drinking. she goes away then returns and says the manager says to drink what you want and we will just charge you for a 9 oz. so we just kept this huge jug of wine (getting warm in the table) and i had one glass. after the meal my husband says to me you have only drank like 6 oz and you will be charged for 9oz so he has a small glass. saga on the wine continues at the end.

we weren't finished our appies when our main course arrived which was "cold" upon arrival. she removed our side plates and said she would bring us clean napkins and well they never came and i waited and finally went walking around looking for her as we had waited 10 minutes since dinner had arrived. i almost had to walk into the kitchen area to get to talk to her and asked for pepper and napkins only to find her busy dusting out a side board cabinet. i walked all the way back to the table and soon after pepper and napkins arrived. my dinner was now really cold. server didn't ask how our appies were or how our main course was. both were cold cold cold.

the floor was dirty in the restaurant and it was not busy at all.

the planters outside the window look terrible and are just full of weeds they should look beautiful in spring.

we ask for the bill and it's $77. all the food was charged and the wine we were charged $11 for a 9oz. i said to the server it's happy hour the wine should be half price. she said well we measured the wine left in the jug and figured you drank 11oz not 9oz. i said your joking me how can we measure exactly 9oz you said we would just be charged. for a 9oz and to drink what we wanted. she said i know the manager confused me but i have to charge you the $11 non happy hour price. what ??? it was happy hour why would we not pay happy hour price. she said she had no clue what was with the bill. i said look i will just pay it all then take it up with head office.

we live in chilliwack and the earls there is always 100%. we have been to yale town a few times and it's always been great.....

thanks earls whistler for a terrible experience, awful cold food, thanks for then overcharging us and for a ruined evening.

boring food and ridiculous waitress. brought my parents-in-law and my wife for dinner. our waitress had her tits hanging out so far that i was in constant fear she would have a spontaneous wardrobe malfunction (she must have been as well). on top of that she had the most ridiculous spray-on tan i've ever seen. at first, i thought she had a horrendous sunburn. it was my wife who informed me that it was a spray-on. i spent the rest of the evening concentrating on not looking at her oddities in the presence of my wife and conservative parents-in-law. i resorted to totally focusing on my food which was utterly boring, the whole restaurant felt rushed, the prices did not reflect the quality in any shape or form (no pun intended). all in all a night-out to forget, but one i never will be able to. i will never go to an earls again.

earl’s is an upmarket sports bar. the crow varies from couples, to large families. we liked our food and the service was fine. earl’s is an easy option if you’re not sure where to go.

so, i loved the place. it was the best view restaurant in whistler and the staff was very nice too. the place was clean and ambiance superb. washrooms super clean but the food quality was just ok. we ordered baileys irish cream in coffee and it was not even average. more coffee and ice and less alcohol. the draught beer was good though.  coming to food, we ordered from the brunch menu, the quantity was too much but the quality was just average.

even in summer, whistler reminded me of a swiss ski resort, and earls perfectly fits into the imagery with its exposed wooden beams and high ceilings. we were greeted by friendly faces, and service remained ever so good-natured throughout. while we enjoyed the food, there was nothing especially memorable about them. if you're after a quick bite or a filling meal, then you won't go wrong here. the complimentary mini doughnut balls were a nice treat and a good way to whet our appetite before our meal.

it was okay, nothing special to make me come back. the reason for the positive 3.5 review: prompt seating on patio, decent wait for food, sufficiently staffed, clean washrooms.

where they could improve: quicker water refills, it was a hot day! the food was not fresh (soggy salad, stale garlic bread) and plates were awkwardly small for the cod fish and chips

the fries were good! like mcdonald's fries but less salty and more crunchy. the tacos main meal comes with these fries and two tacos for 17$...pretty overpriced for the portion. taco tortilla was falling apart from the juices of the toppings which again makes me think it was plated way before serving to us.

earls is great!

but i just wanted to give a special shoutout to a server we had about a week and and half ago...

maddy d: we were a large group of about 10-20 people all drinking/eating/caught up in birthday celebrations and she remembered all our orders and names. her demeanour was super friendly, genuine and laid back.

being someone that works in town at a similar venue, i really noticed and appreciated her service! :)

good food and a good drink selection but our service didn't make up for it. our first drinks took as long as our appetizers and after that we didn't get service for another 25 minutes while sitting with empty plates and empty glasses.

the only fair way to describe the wings, ribs and steak at earls is with this simple emoji: 🤤

additionally, the best service i've experienced in whistler!

not....not great.
my wife and i came here for a quick nibble and cocktails.
normally i do like earls. but this one wasn't great.

we order a moscow mule and a paloma to drink, and shared the calamari and sweet chilli chicken. two normally very simple and reliable dishes.

the drinks tastes nice, but the were not consistent, my first moscow mule was very smooth an crisp, very subtle sweetness, but my second tasted like sprite with vodka. i didn't really complain, but i do feel consistency is important in a restaurant. my wife liked her drink as well.

the sweet chilli chicken was tasty, a little over kill on the sauce, but tasted fine.
the calamari however was brutal, it had a very dirty flavour. if i had to guess, it probably wasn't the chefs fault, but whoever was responsible to clean the squid before cooking. none the less after two bites we could not eat anymore, they took it away and struck it from the bill, but it did leave a bad taste in our mouths.

the service was very poor as well, no one keep track of table, water was rarely refilled (even after requesting it) and after we asked for the bill and machine, we probably waited an additional 15 mins before we could actually pay.

normally i am ok with an occasional off batch, but that paired with the poor service and the general experience turned is off. i really can't say i have any desire to go back to this specific location.

if you've been to an earls before, than you know what to expect. this one just happens to be in whistler village. this earls doesnt have the space for the brick pizza oven, so they dont serve pizza, which is a shame, because i like thier pizza. the service was pretty standard. it was quiet, so i didnt have to wait to long for my food. the server was friendly enough and the beer of course was cold. i cannot recommend trying the dynomite roll at this location. in fact, for the love of all that is holy, dont try the dynomite roll at this location. im guessing they pre make batches of these and store them in a freezer. if you're the rare sort that has a fondness of pre-packaged gas station sushi, than this earls dynomite roll is for you. it must take 15 minutes to thaw out, as thats how long it took to get to my table, and i was still ice cold. im sure it would have tasted wonderful had it been served to me on the day it was made. the jeera chicken curry however was wonderful, though the pints of blue buck pale ale didnt hurt. top everything off with a nice atmosphere and good location and a friendly hostess means i can forgive you earls. just dont do it again
