horrible name, great chocolate. why you would name your shop after a line from a really stupis movie is beyond me, but the chocolate is really good, san francisco good. unique flavors, combinations, and great packaging. the texture of everything we tried was good, not even close to better belgium chocolate texture, but good enough. a bit hard. great love in every bite.

dark chocolate heaven. all dark chocolate all the time, not cheap, but oh so good. the dark chocolate blue-cheese sea salt are a must try: so is the dark chocolate bacon.

the chocolate sundae with rum butterscotch sauce and cream was out of this world. do yourself and favor and try the chocolate fudge that has blue cheese in it. don’t be afraid — it’s amazing.

the first time i stopped here, i wasn't too taken away. that was mostly because i didn't understand what this place was. i wanted just regular chocolate and a place to relax.
now, this is one of my favorite dessert places and i'd recommend anyone to go here for good quality chocolate.
i've never been a fan of flavored chocolate, i like my chocolate to be chocolate. but man, that hanoi chocolate fudge took every ounce of that idea out of me.
i also love the loco for coco or whatever it's called (chocolate bar).
and the employees are super nice. you can sample every thing they have before you buy it, which leads to a very satisfied customer.
love this place.

i’m switching it back to dallas for a few posts. the next feature on the bite tonight is dude, sweet chocolate. normally i stick to restaurants, but this storefront is a perfect write up. and too good not to share. located in dallas’s bishop arts district is a cute little chocolate shop, dude, sweet chocolate. i can only describe this nostalgic spot as a chocolate lab concocting some of the most creative, yet bizarre flavor combinations. think blue cheese and sea salt fudge and a dark chocolate, sesame, and balsamic bar. check it.

inventive chocolate shop/lab in heart of bishop arts with an additional retail location in lower greenville.
stopped by to explore, left with a treat.
creative chocolate bars (ie. seeweed & togarashi, porcini mushroom) to name a few paired with a large variety of chocolate sauces with clever names (ie. one night stand, break up).
crack in a box- literally crack in box.  a stack of thick slabbed dark chocolate filled with candied salted nuts.  yum.

this is one of my favorite chocolate shops. it's chocolate heaven, but with a twist and for adults...what's not to love about that?

dude is located in one of busiest neighborhoods and one of the liveliest neighborhoods in dallas. parking is the only negative about this location. there's only street parking in this area, which can be a hassle during peak hours.

dude is one of the only chocolate shops that is constantly changing their products and trying to get even more creative, which is hard to imagine because they already have so many creative flavors. everything from the chocolate sauces to the fudge are absolutely delicious. this isn't your average chocolate shop, so go in there with an open mind. many of their products have alcohol in them, which sets apart from other chocolate shops. although many of their products contain alcohol, you can barely taste the alcohol. they do a great job of infusing the alcohol with the chocolate and other ingredients.

dude is definitely not a cheap place, but you're paying for the quality, service, and the uniqueness. i also love the fact that this is a local spot and not a chain. the service is always great and friendly. the employees answer any questions and have tons of great recommendations. my absolute favorite thing about this location is that customers can sample anything in the store. many chocolate shops don't offer this luxury, which makes dude even more special. you can sample everything from the sauces to the salami. the employees are more than happy to give you seconds.

every time i'm in dallas, i make sure to stop at dude to either pick up the stingray fudge and the one night stand potion. these are my favorites and i can't get enough.

...my purchases were few – two well manicured bars with great texture and depth of flavor plus soft chocolate salami teaming with dates and figs purchased while the intriguing hanoi fudge was left behind, brushed aside with a “its alright” from the ‘dud

the willy wonka of chocolatiers in dallas! i admire and value fearless flavours, innovation and good quality ingredients. try the fungus amongus – a porcini mushroom, pumpkin seed toffee!

incredible chocolate!. the most amazing chocolate shop i have ever been to!
interesting, not main stream, varieties of treats are available, with the inclusion of your "regular favorites".
well worth the trip down colorado blvd, to davis st.

don't be delayed by parking shortages, because the place is amazing. check out the other stores nearby. some of my favorite places in town are only blocks away from here as well.

...how about louisiana tobacco or pine with your chocolate? with such exotic flavors, it's no surprise katherine has won 2010 best chocolatier from both

americans, this is what chocolate should taste like.. drop all your past experience at the door, cause katherine will completely spoil all other 'chocolate' for you. a few free samples of her fresh chocolate and you'll be filling up a bag and handing over your credit card. and you should, if you have any sort of refined taste buds.

this is a fresh, clean, classy storefront, where you quickly realize you are seeing magic at work. it's quality, but with a dose of humor mixed in...the place is called 'dude, sweet'...what did you expect?

everything is handmade, right there in front of you. it's a cacao aficionado's dream. can i go back there now?
