i'm not a big fan of coffee shops, but i do enjoy grabbing an interesting book or magazine off the shelves at barnes and noble and plopping down with a cup of starbucks fro m their café. not a bad way to spend a saturday afternoon. last weekend, on my nor

way cooler than starbucks. i could see myself coming back to drunken monkey for another latte and a sandwich. i could make myself at home and enjoy reading the newspaper or a book from across the street. i could bring my laptop and work on some blog posts. i could come on a monday night and watch "heroes." i could maybe even get into some monopoly or scattegories with other cool people like me. yea, i said cool like me. if i'm chilling at drunken monkey i'm cool.

the owner is misogynistic and has been accused of sexual harassment on multiple occasions. no excuses for that kind of behavior. negative energy in the workplace is very clear.

drunken money is a quirky little individual coffeeshop in the milk district of downtown orlando. the casual eclectic setting, great menu of organic/fair trade coffee drinks, delicious offering of soups (must try the vegan broccoli cheese!), and tempting display of daily treats make it a must stop for a morning caffeine fix or afternoon treat.

i've only been here one time, and i ordered one of their coffee type selections.  the interior is neat, a little hipster/bohemian, but clean and put together nicely.  i tried some cinnamon type iced coffee thing.  i asked if it was really sweet, and the girl at the counter told me it is, but they could add a little more coffee to cancel out some of the sweetness.  i thought it was nice they offered to do that without me asking.  the beverage was very good, and it came out instantly.  this was a fun place, and i will be back.

i love the quirky, bohemian vibe of this place. the only reason i gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because the staff is not the friendliest. perhaps they are used to dealing so much with their locals that they're a little aloof toward outsiders. they need to get over that because i am now a local and a smile and "thank you," would go a long way. the reviewer that commented about how the place looks dirty and needs new furniture misses the point of local coffeehouses like drunken monkey. we want it that way. if we wanted antiseptically clean, we'd go over to starbucks a few feet away over at colonial plaza.

the food here is excellent - not been disappointed with any of their offerings, which include a wide assortment of vegan/vegetarian dishes, or their desserts. and the coffee drinks are noticeably stronger and richer than starbucks.

stopped in for a coffee and enjoyed a great selection of possibilities to pick from. the coffee was great and so were the treats. my only complaint would be that it looks a little dirty and could use a good cleanup along with some new furniture.

if you are like us and have driven by the drunken monkey and wondered what it is, do yourself a favor and stop in immediately. very cool people, relaxed atmosphere, cozy couches, and beautiful decor & artwork. and oh yeah! delicious coffee!!! you haven't lived until you've had the mojo jojo. we will be back to play chutes and ladders (yes, they have board games) with our next cup.

hip & delicious. when i first walked into drunken monkey coffee bar i was instantly impressed by the amazing decor. the entire coffee shop gives off a warm feeling, it has everything from an impressive decorative burgundy ceiling to lovely retro couches that are so comfortable you can probably sleep on them. it is the best place to just chill have a cup of coffee, or a nice lunch. the service is amazing. the baristas are always kind and make sure you get what you want. yes sometimes there may be a mistake or a coffee forgotten because they are busy. but, everybody makes mistakes, and trust me most of the time they are right on task. plus, the food is worth the wait no matter what. they have soups that you could kill for. they are made in house by chef john couch, who does an absolutely great job. my personal favorite food there is the pepper steak wrap, it is a vegan treasure that will make your mouth water. it is made with onions, peppers, vegan mozzarella, home fries, beef seitan, grilled, and is served with a garlic cream sauce. this is one of their vegan specialties, but they also serve meat products as well. the coffee here is amazing as well as the food though. i would suggest trying the mojo jojo. it is a coffee drink made with, coffee, steamed whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. it can be served hot, iced, frozen, or frozen with chocolate added. this is their signature specialty coffee, but they make everything, such as lattes, cappuccinos, smoothies, shakes, homemade sodas, and several tea options. this lovely little cozy coffee shop has something for everyone and i would definately recommend it! (:

lively place. i've been here for about an hour now and i've enjoyed myself. its lively, how i like most places, but not the type of lively were everyone is yelling obnoxiously. there is music, but it isn't the central focus of the atmosphere like the other places i've visited. actually, the music is based on whatever is on the radio. not a problem though, it isn't loud enough to take your concentration away. the food i ordered was delicious, but i didn't try any of the drinks. just had water. this place is worth trying if you're looking to try something new.

food-wise, they mostly have sandwiches and soups. their soup options change daily, but the few times i have been, they always have the same sandwich options. the have options for both vegetarian and vegan diets, but they do have some meaty sandwiches as well. i really like the dwight howard special, and a portion of each sale goes to dwight’s charity. while every sandwich i’ve had there is very good, and generally unique, i’d like to see more options, even if it meant they were on rotation.
